for your gf, most likely she would prefer a pair of leisure skates...

maybe you should get a pair that can do both freestyle and leisure???

i rather you buy a brand new pair of skates, at least you can make sure its of your size...

as for hockey, Powerslide is new at making hockey skates...

if you really wants to buy hockey skates, never buy low-end hockey skates. there are better brands for hockey like, Tour(if you can take the pain), Bauer(buy online), Mission(its cheaper online),CCM(also cheaper online)...

soft boot strictly for leisure...

if you want to learn things like hockey-stop or slides, go for harder boot with more support...

if you wants to do both, then a harder boot with slightly bigger wheels(80mm-84mm)...
