Most of the bikers in SIngapore doesn't have the habit to wear gloves during riding. I really don't understand why they feel 'troublesome' or 'lazy' to just wear a pair of gloves? As in government laws, every bikers need to wear helmet during ride, and driving center also strictly every bikers need to put on a pair of gloves while practicing their riding lesson. But why everyone after passed the test, no one (most of them) will bother anymore? A good pair of motorcycle leather gloves is important to us, not wearing a cotton made labor gloves, please..... Compare with oversea countries, more than 70% of riders wearing gloves while they ride on their bike. Without a pair of good protection 'gloves', can you call yourself a 'safty' rider? Think about it, it is for your own good.

Its Troublesome I Guess Due To The Humid Weather?

Other Countries Usually Wear Because Its Not So Hot Over There Compared To Here?

I Used To Wear When I Just Passed & I Stopped Just Because Of The Reason Above.

Unless Im Riding A Class 2A or 2 Bike Then Ill Consider Wearing It Again & When I Travel Longer Distances. Just My Opinion. :)

Why bother complaining about them? Let them feel the pain, just as long you wear all the protections you feel you need. I've given up advocating P.P.E, the best lesson for them is pain.

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

Why so lazy not to paragraph your post? haha... :)

Its the same as why some dont wear full face, jackets...etc. It's their own choice, no matter what's the reason.

The most illogical of reasons to me is they ride small bike, so they should not wear proper protection.

Huh?

Meaning smaller bikes less likely to crash, or looks silly when wearing proper gear?

Also, some of us wear gear only when riding overseas/ touring.

Strange, I mean the gear is already bought, and we spend 90% of the time commuting in Singapore, yet choose to leave the gear at home.

Convenience maybe...

All in all, it's everyone's choice. :)

Haha... what a 'good' answer that "the best lesson for them is pain". But seriously, it is kind of risk if don't wear gloves or boots while riding. Don't you think so? How much a pair of gloves cost? From couple of dollar to hundred or dollar and it can protect us?

Haha... Sorry, sorry... forgot to paragraph my post.

Yah, convenience end up become 'lazy', hehe... Why don't they 'convenience' until don't wear helmet? Nonsense right?

It's not that I'm evil or what. You can think that way on wearing gears, those who wear gears think so too. But try telling those who don't wear, it's like trying to play piano to a buffalo.

If the state state that helmet is not compulsory, they may not even wear, because it is "tooooooooo HOT".

No, I don't think you are evil, it just because you have been 'pissing off' like what I thought. I think it is time for us to 'educate' them to wear gloves during ride. If anyone of you agree what my point brought up, please try to respond.

whats the big issue over gloves or proper attire either?

people are entitled to their own choices-

let it be then-

Why scared of the pain when you yourself CHOOSE to ride a bike-;)

You can always option for a car or even go public if pain is the 1st thing that comes in your mind ever since you got your 1st bike-

Observed every little details on e road-it will make your journey even much more safer and enjoyable-

rather than equip yourself with full gear and think nothing will ever happen as long as those gears were on:thumb:
