Hi hi.

Just passing a message on behalf of a Petrol Kiosk Supervisor near Bukit Kayu Hitam. I became councellor 'Aunty David' for about 5mins.

Please:

1. Refrain from parking bikes in front or near main the entrance to the counters. Some petrol koisk may not have sufficient leeway for other cars to turn safely and may cause accidents.

2. Do not smoke at the petrol station. Many bikers are taking safety for granted.

3. Help keep the area clean and not to litter (especially chewing gums) on the floor.

4. Request any help from the service staff with a smile and friendliness. They will help within their means but they should not be treated like a servant.

My take: His points are quite straight forward and we should be able to manage. Doesn't cost a cent to smile or say thankyou.

We are vistors to their country, even if just transiting or topping up petrol. Treat them (place and people) with respect and you'll get back in kind.

i guess sg rider take advantage of the petrol kiosk since the malaysia petrol kiosk seem to be like they dont really care. I feel that we as a rider whether in sg, malaysia or even in other country we should be considerate. It is the kind of attituide of i repect you and you repect me. if want ur bike to be safe, you to be safe, your friend to be save and the earth to be save than repect the above.

*This is just my personally feedback, i admit i didnt fufill the above requirment but now i will not smoke in the petrol kiosk.*

There is someone out there for me

I know there is someone out there

I know she is waiting so patiently yeah

Can you tell me her name?

(Somebody tell me her name)

This life-long search is gonna drive me insane

How does she laugh?

How does she cry?

What's the color of her eyes?

Does she even realize I'm here?

Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?

Where is this beautiful girl?Who is she? Who is she?

Who is gonna complete my world?

Pt 1) This I got to admit, I always park infront of the counter but at the same time always ensure I'm not blocking any cars from turning out of the pumps. Common sense will tell you if there is enough space or not.

Pt 2) As for smoking, you can always smoke outside the station while looking at your bike. If you have friends, they can help you look after. If you are alone and unable to see your bike then you can always ride out of the petrol station or destination then smoke. I mean if you can practise the habit of no smoking in Singapore Petrol station, why can't it be practise at other Countries petrol station? Are their petrol not as flamable as ours?

Pt 3 & 4) I think this is the basic courtesy which should be instill in all of us. What happen to all those moral education from our schooling time? It like earning their respect. It is earned, not given. I always see dustbin easily available in the station and not far apart. FYI, there is litterbin at almost every pump. Don't tell me you need to walk a few 100m to find a bin?

It doesn't matter if their people do it or not. It each responsilbility to do what is right and not wrong. The way I see it, it is not a nationaility problem, it is people problem.

when in Rome, do as the Romans do.do the gd things, not the bad ones of cos...n yeah ive seen some rowdy SG bikers in Malaysian petrol kiosks...even here in SG!!! they'll park their bikes at the exit in two rows n smoke, cackle, tease and talk as loud as they can...usually the riders on kup kias n Gileras n occasionally the big bikes too

Do not trouble trouble unless trouble troubles you

Remember one incident while i was topping fuel for my car a group of SG mid and big bikers treat the Petronas station @ Jln Yahya Awal as their own place.Out of sudden a group of mat rempits arrived to top up fuel and they start staring and provoke the SG bikers with their wheelie stunt, doughnuts and stoppie. The SG big bikers look panic and soon left after that.
