^ btw who told you to keep it at that speed? just curious

from what i read in the Manual, it stated not exceeding 70% of max speed, i take it the max speed is 180 as stated on the speedo, so that works out to slightly below 130km/h effectively. anyone to verify?

Although I've not yet gotten the bike, I'll stick to 80km/h for running in. Suppose to be standard running in speed right? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nonsense la. I've already whack till 130km/h after the first 300km.

Maintaining at 70km? LOL

From what I know, you will have to let your rpm vary. Always maintaining at such a slow speed will only hurt your engine in the long run.

That's what I do to all my bikes in the past. No problems so far.

COE about S$1320 not including transfer fee if I want theirs. But I use my name to bid the COE no need to pay for the S$100++ transfer fee.

If you bid less than $1420, then you profit. But if COE more than $1420, you lugi. But how come got transfer fee one? I thought COE bidding is based on the closing rate?

COE belonged to bike shop and so if u want their COE must do transfer lor. Hopefully COE goes down on this coming 21st July bidding.

Was in the same dilemma as you.

My situation is no rebate if Coe is lesser than prevailing

but have to pay the difference if Coe is higher than prevailing Coe

somemore have to wait till bidding.

Scared Coe rise so decided to pay the 100++ transfer fees and get the bike earlier...

er..maintaining RPM is the standard for most, but i am just not sure how it goes for CVTs..

Haha, I do believe maintaining RPMs is not the norm. You are supposed to vary your rpms / revs, apply engine braking. Just no constant redlines and sufficient bike warm ups. Same for CVTs, PSTs etc.

But hey, what do I know? I could be wrong for all you know.

Bro to be honest, why wait so long to save an unconfirmed $100 for the COE? It is simply not worth it unless COE prices drop significantly.

$100 for 10 years = $10 per year = 0.833 cents per month = 0.0278 cents per day

Judging by the past few month's COE pricing, they are always within the $1000s range. Going up since Jan.

You paid much more for your bike. 0.833 cents per month is nothing man.

You should had just gotten the bike out sooner and plan your savings on other things like accessories etc.

Time is of essence!

Nah i could be wrong, applying just as I heard, to keep or vary RPM under 4k or something.

Thanks brothers. My first ride - The pick up is really fast...damn shiok...easily hit 80km/h. Braking must be careful. I notice my RPM gone crazy...not moving while riding and stucked at 11000. B4 riding off the bike shop, it was ok....must go and see Chief Mechanic at Vespa soon....
