I favor YZF-R125, speaking about performance, this baby born in Europe, hence they have certain bhp restriction for such beginner bike. But de-restricting it shouldn't be a problem.

Speed, approximation around 130km/hr? (*stock condition)

Fuel consumption, very subjective depend on individual and modification on the vehicle. Approximately, 40km per litre?

Maintenance, its all up to you, if you "feed" this baby with all the good stuff for sure your maintenance would be high. But again I wouldn't expect it to be very far fetch.

For more information please drop by the sportsbike thread, there you can find all the R125 ryders. Surely they have wrote loads of information on the vehicle. :thumb:

Keep the 12k, buy a cheap bike upgrade 2a and ride a kawasaki 250r.. OTR less den 10k++, definitely cheaper, faster and better looking then this wannabe sportsbike.

Juz my recommendation onli, nt tryin to offend any r125/r15 riders. Cuz most want to ride tose bikes because they resemble their class2 siblings, well why nt juz go for kawa250r instead. looks like zx10r from afar and is quite big. Tried a friends 250r, cannot beat s4's top end la. But pickup and mid feel like my super4 despite 250cc, cuz the power to weight ratio is superb! Its quite rare on the road, cuz nt many ppl noe it even exist.

I juz feel if u wanna spend 12k, spend it on the superior bike.. can still save abt 2k also

I find that the R125 is quite over priced here in Singapore. It has a super look though. The R15 feels a bit...India? The small width of the wheels just makes it look as though it might just break apart from hard braking. Just my opinion though :o

If ur gonna spend 12k on a 2b bike, mite as well make it a rs125. At least got kick. I tried a friend's r125.. wah liao, its performance and sound is shxxt! The onli gud thing abt it is dat it really looks like r6 from afar, but still look small at closeup... kinda' like bringing a busty gal home and u discovered she tricked u w/ a pushup bra, hahahaha!

dont bother spending too much $$ on a 2B bike.... there is only so much juice you can squeeze out of a 200cc bike regardless of the number of mods you put in there....

get a sp, kr, r15 or anything affordable... save the $$ for a class 2A or 2 bike...

bottom line: its your $$, spend it however you want....

Cheap + fast = no good

Cheap + good = not fast

Good + fast = not cheap

Yes, but with more expensive insurance, less aftermarket parts & modifications and looks hideous with a topbox :angel:

I've rode the r15 before. It fuel consumption is really gd. But is the power is kinda compromise. Though i would have to say tt the handling is really nt bad. I noe nt much abt e r125 but it definitely looks much better. But it too ex.

class 3

class 2b-Yamaha r15-03/10/09~01/10/11

class 2a-Super 4 Spec 3-01/10/11~Current:thumb:

If one does not want to upgrade to class 2A or Class 2. Then R125 is quite worth it isnt it? haha any idea how much is it selling in the market now? I heard that onli 1 bike shop selling it in singapore, thats why they selling in at a high price since there's a high demand. We got no CHOICE !
