Fazer 8 or XJ-6 Diversion?

Yah loh. Dun Know why HL is selling XJ6 so ex here. It is a budget bike with all the budget parts.If they price it below $14k, then it would be a good buy. In UK, they are selling XJ6 for $4500 pound.

my personal view is XJ6 is not worth the price. XJ6 is using a detuned FZ6 engine. XJ6 is more ex, less power in terms of torque n hp. looks of XJ6 is not really very attractive. FZ6 will b a better catch if they r still selling 1st hand.

 

If base on price range, XJ6 n FZ8, the difference is not alot. then FZ8 n FZ1, the price diff oso not alot. but power wise, there is a diff.

 

its wise to consider properly b4 deciding which one to get.

XJ6 compare with FZ8 - prices diff by not much and with nice torque power.

XJ6 compare with FZ1 - prices ex a bit with higher insurance also, but power diff alot alot!!!

Yamaha R1 also dun have ohlins shock. XJ6 is using normal 41mm front forks with no adjustment. Rear single shock can adjust preload only. Only good thing is XJ6 use smaller tyres sizes for the rear(120/70/17 and 160/60/17). fuel tank is 17.3L.

XJ6 is like a budget bike, how is it possible to have ohlins shocks? even have, oso low end ones. unlike euro brands like bmw using wilbers , ktm using wp suspension, ducati using ohlins etc. yamaha likely will be using kayaba.

Wonder if the chassis similar or the same as Fazer 6, if yes it cut down development cost alot. Engine using trusty de-tuned Fazer 6...

XJ6 is old n budget. Fz8 would b better. But prefer Fz1 for me bcos the price wise not much diff. n it has a killer looks. To me.
