Thanks [Wizard] for the price info.

Just got my Konda last week. I share the same sentiments as blackness, the ventilation for this helmet is almost non-existent. There are no vents at the rear part on the helmet which does not make for good air flow-through. On a gray day, which has been the case for Friday and Saturday, could already feel the stuffiness inside the helmet. Not sure how a hot day will fry my head.

Another observation about the Konda is its more compact. Was wearing a same size Justissimo before and feel that the Konda is a bit tighter at the top back part of the helmet and a closer fit at the chin area. Its not totally comfortable at the moment and I hope I can run it in soon.

Should have tried the Rjyas TourTech before committing to the Konda...

no prob..

my konda is usually in "full face" mode all the time..

when i ride.. i close the visor down until before the point it clip tight.. maybe thats why.. since its not "air tight" i still get some kind of airflow on face area..

i wear a balaclava for all my ride so cant comment abt the internal airflow..

i bought a konda not long ago too, at 270 at Regina. My main reason for getting this helmet is for the tinted built in visor. I can say it serves its purpose well. blocking out the blinding sun in the morning and evening.

compared to rjays tourtech which i used for the past 2 years, heres some comments.

1. Konda ventilation is not good! I bought 1 size bigger than my Rjays, thinking it would help, but i still feel suffocated in this helmet compared to Tourtech.

2. The flip-up mechanism is definitely not as smooth and easy to operate compared to Tourtech. Have to push the button a bit harder, and need more effort to push it up to lock it in the "up" position.

3. The flipped-up position seems rather high, resulting in more air being trapped, causing my head to feel like its being pushed backwards. Tourtech has a lower "up" position. Its not easy to flip up the Konda if your visor is opened. The visor will be forced close by a stopper at the top of the helmet. Tourtech can be flipped up even if the visor is opened.

Please see below. Note the opening degree of the flip up. The Visor on the Konda is touching the top of the helmet, sealing it up and resulting in minimum airflow through the top of the head. Rjays on the other hand, has a gap between the visor and the top of the helmet, resulting in airflow through the top and reducing air pressure

4. The visor seems lower quality than Tourtech. I changed my first visor 1 day after buying due to the anti-fog coating having patches of non-anti-fog. The second visor that i'm now on, though it seems normal, fogs up more easily than Tourtech. And i find that it takes more effort to clean the visor. In the past, i used WD40 to clean the Tourtech's visor, and water stain marks get wiped off very easily. For Konda's visor, wiping with WD40 is not that efficient.

5. Noise level is good if the helmet is tight. Recently i just cut my hair, end up it became noisier due to air flowing in. lol.

On the whole, feels that the Rjays tourtech is more comfortable. Nonetheless, as mentioned, the double visor meets my requirement. The Chin Curtain also helps greatly in stopping wind from flowing into my face from below. The design also looks nice, like pilot. lol

Hi Bro,

You mentioned that you've changed the visor due to the anti fog coating having patches on the inside. I've just bought 2 from Regina as well and both also have the same problem. The visor you have to buy yourself or you got Reginas to replace for you? if bought yourself where did you get it from?

Hmmm...seems like an inherent problem with the Anti fog coating on the visor...

Was shopping for a flip up. The Nolan is second only to the shoei in terms of quality and weight.

Good day. I just passed my TP and already bought a konda from Regina. I notice that there is some sort of coating on the inside of the visor that will reflect rainbow color if u look at the visor on the outside. Is this the anti fog coating u guys are talking abt?? Cos that coating very annoying, I cant really see clearly when wearing the helmet. Wanted to clean of that coating but afraid that it is the anti-fog.

By the way, this helmet quite stuffy and tight. I got a broader forehead and think this helmet more suitable for person with slightly oval shape at the top of the head. And the chin bar is abt inline with my chin, not really covering my chin thou. Maybe becos this is the 1st FF helmet i ever hav, but I find the shell of the helmet damn big. For a size L helmet, I looks like a martian alien keke.

Now considering maybe selling off the helmet and get an another FF helmet....cos i find my head size and shape doesnt really fit the Konda.

How come did not try on the helmet before you buy? Next time try it on and leave it on for 10mins. That way you can get a better feel for it before buying.

it only covers the lower part of the visor

What i did was to wash off the anti fog coating with soap and water. Then after drying i used the normal anti-fog spray which you can get from optical shops or those swim shops to spray on the inside of the visor and polish it off.

It helps to a certain extent to prevent fogging but will still fog up a bit lor. hope this helps.

Well the anti fogginh for caberg is terrible, that is for sure...

but the rest of it make up for it...

Juz note that konda compared to the rest of the caberg series has "limited viewing area" meaning certain blind spot area U gt to reari turn yr head ....lol unlike jusstimmo....

Went up Hat Yai with it...

Comfy & nice but fogging can be quite irraiting ...lol

but none the less still a much better flip up than the rest less Shoei Syrotec which is the champ....
