hi i've pm you regarding your interest. Just incase you did not receive it..... If you are still interested. just quote me a resonable price and it's yours. Thanks

ok.... bikeshop all ard Spore charges are abt the same ...... some just few hundreds steeper............. there are alot of claues to it......

most nowadays just post machine price on ads and when you go down they add tis , add tat, and it sums up to quite abit....

some ads says no dwnpayment. when you go dwn , they say for small bike onli, big bike like 2A and 2 are nt included.....

my personal experience is tat some shop charge you machine price then add IU then add insurance, then add legal stamp ( for lawyer ), then add transfer fee.....blah and blah .... so on and on..... tis can add up to a few hundred difference

some say on the road but when you go dwn, IU not included........

some nowadays offer 3rd party insurance with fire and thief....... yup.......

some charge 5% flat...... some 1st yr 4%....2nd yr 6%..... 3rd year 7%.......

another bad experience is Southern Motor (not the New Southen Motor) ......... some shops charge very cheap price .... when you go down they give u a new (unused) bike but old plate...... tis is becos tat some motorshop pre register the bike when it comes down from the container...... and when you wan the bike, they just transfer ownership from the shop to you.... tis will take a day or less..... normally, most shops will onli do tat to fast selling bike like SP or Super 4... but some idiot.. haiz..... so you better check with them abt tis or your log card when you get it.. but it will be abit too late......... mine case was I was given a bike which was registered 6 mth earlier and by then the plate alpherbert has changed...... if not I wouldn't know abt tis scam.............. then they will cock up some excuse to say bike no longer is production or trade it back to him and they will give u a better price.........

my suggestion is that go to a trusted or better still friend or friend's bikeshop....... Loois Motor is such one...... I got which was registered to my name after a wait of abt 5 days but worth it cos I was the first owner (not thru motorshop.... which actually mean I 2nd owner ..... even though bike unused)...... but of cos bike slightly steeper...........so its up to you...........

Mah Motor is known to charge steep price and actually alot of shops like Lee's, Kuang Tai Lee, and a few others are taking bike from there to sell you.......

if they seriously wan your business, ask them to come up with a plan to register the bike to your name but without signing papers first... cos they always ask you to sign first then they add in details .... then send to LTA...... then if they give you a faulty bike, you have no choice but to accept it cos you sign it...... then they will tell you tat they will repair for you FOC but the hassle is nt worth it......

Loois and AS Poon and some others, I think I read before are authorise big brand Dealers....... some cheaper price ones are actually Parrelel imports.........

in short pls look ard and ask ard in detail before you buy ie.. interest, IU, insurance, any transfer fee, free gift, after sales service/maintence......etc ...... before you buy....... dun take your friend's words cos it is your $ afterall but take theirs as a recommandation............. cos times are bad and they will chop you even if it means losing your business tis once ...... cos .... you might nt change bike..... or change with them ...... so they will chop..chop..chop

I MAYBE AN IDIOT....... BUT I AM NOT DUMB............

who knows which shop is selling R1-04mdel?How much is it....?

I would also like to know if anyone knows when we can expect to see the 2004 R1's in Singapore...

I was also hoping someone could recommend a good shop (honest, trustworthy, good service, etc...) who I could trade my 2001 R1 to and purchase the 2004 R1?

Thanks

OTR does not include IU in bike shops understanding of OTR. This would include 6 months roadtax, 1 year insurance, registration fees, COE though. If there is an additional agreement fee or whatsoever, then it is not a good deal...

I was at Mah Motor on Saturday (asking about the 2004 R1's) and asked for a rough estimate on trade-in value of my FT-plate 2001 R1. They told me $11K -- I was actually surprised it was that low. I was kind of thinkng more along the lines of $13K. Anyone have thoughts...?

Thanks for the useful "thought", Heng... In case you missed it, I wasn't whining about the price -- merely surprised by it, that's all.

Additionally, Yoshiki posed the question of price for an FT-plate R1 -- I was just trying to help him out...
