hey guys where do u fix your sliders? the coolant overflow container needs to be modified yeah? do you folks get everything done at motoworld? uum... does the container leak where the pipe is stuck on? a rough idea how long i need to wait if i need to get my sliders fixed on? sorry bout the nub questions, i've never used sliders in my entire life :pity:

Alvin; motovation has the sliders.

You need to drill 50mm diameter hole through the coolant bottle.

Alvin has the contact motorshop to do it for you too.

I had patched my coolant bottle once again yesterday after flushing my coolant.

Yes the vibration will cause it to leak again and I am using super strong 3 ton epoxy for patching.

It's ok lah, we all are working and living in this city call Singapore where alot of things are quite ex. Like you and alot of people too, we seek out chances like special winfall or bonuses to fulfill our dreams. Maybe perhaps it is like giving yourself a pat on your own shoulder that you owe it to yourself for the hard effort that you have done for a whole year.

Well so much said, hope to see your dreams fulfill by end of the year and amybe can get together for a chat if chances allows. :goodluck:

Just a thing to add, maybe can try to put a temperature tape (those silvery tape can deflect heat) on the bottle especially on the epoxy. It will prevent the expoxy from cracking when the engine is hot during traffic jams.

Pillion seat is super comfy! I sat on my own bike as a pillion up to batuh pahat n back, 400++km. The grab-rails are the best thing on earth when travelling as a pillion at 160~180kmh. A backrest would be even better.

1 up is perfect as its power is just nice, comfy, upright, good shielding and good luggage space.

2 up you will feel slightly under power upon over taking. Especially with full luggauge

As for busa, it will have no prob in the horse category. Comfort n luggage i believe the VFR is better.

My 2 cents worth..

the lady leg strecthed long till footrest. this shows she is sitting comfortly without craming her mucles

the vfr , rear signal lights cover are transparent white and the disc brake fluid holder also silver color

i wonder he changed or comes from factory default.

Hey guys here... i am a new Cl2 rider intending to get a sports tourer and to my surprise the VFR is more ex than the Blackbird. Well i am still deciding between the 2 so i would like to ask is the VFR worth it? What are the pros and cons compared to the BlackBird itself? Can someone advise me on this? Thx for any information provided!

hi.. welcome to the class 2 family. Try back tracking the post here. I believe the fellow VFRer's have posted why they got this bike.

For my case, it is not abt $$ per bhp per cc. (Sorry .. no offence to bikers in this forum.. am i dunt print $$.. i saved for 2 years before i got my 1st class 2... :giddy: ) Its about what I want in my riding style/purpose. Of course budget comes into it also.

I wanted good comfort, decent power, convenient luggauge space, and i ended with the VFR. With it, i toured fuss free, no aches, with loads of space to dump things in up & down back SG. But i cannot get razor sharp handling or excellent exit power.

As i am still looking for handling, gun corners and blah blah (influnce from fellow friends :cheeky:). i managed to squeeze myself penniless for a sports bike. Now i am very much a happy man on the track and the twisty roads, but had zero tours as it did not give me what i wanted from the VFR.

IMHO, list out would u want in your ride. and what u can compromise in your ride (and $$ of course). That way, it is easier to narrow down your choice of machine. End of the day when ppl say "boh hua", its your decision and your ride that deciphers the satisfaction on owning & riding it.

In short, the fun of a weekend drive in a lamborghini gullardo can never make your family outing possible. Get my drift?

Hope this helps...just my 2 cents worth....

Some VFR specs/cons:

V4 EFI engine with VTEC (dual radiators)

4 x H7 headlights with integrated front and rear signal lights

Honda fully integrated OEM panniers (optional)

Underseat exhaust. 2 pairs with 2 outlets each.

Rear proarm system.

Agressive styling

That is why VFRs are so expensive. :cheeky:
