Is Air-horn legal on bikes?

i just wanna say this, it is illegal but they are kick ass loud. on the road it is always be visible and be heard.. loud horn can save your life. IMO

I think there are 3 types of horns on the market now.

 

The first is the "stock" button horn which is round.

 

The next are the powered two-tone "snail" horns like Stebel Magnum. These are legal, or at least I've passed inspection with them. No issues there.

 

The last cateogry is the proper airhorn. This is a horn with 2 components - the horn itself, and a storage tank of compressed air. These are illegal in Singapore.

Air horn with compressor. Previous post already states that. Its the loudest. Very loud and illegal. If u get it installed, it is very NOTICEABLY. The air compressor will be sticking out.

Why not just install the 2 tone snail horns, Stebel Magnum or Hella... Loud enough for spore roads.

this is the type of horn i am using for my bike. its definitely louder than stock. i got it for $55 at a motorbike shop. $55 includes the installation charges.

This is an air horn. Illegal.

 

Any bike can use it. Just make sure that a proper relay is connected.

BM horns is more acceptable. However, it's not a guarantee can pass inspection. It all depends on that day's officer (+ 50% your luck)!!!

Not legal ! but u can jus put a switch tho airhorn are louder and safer

yes, a switch. so before going to inspection, turn off the switch to connect it to the normal horn. and during ride, turn back on to scare some ah ma!

not true, so long an aftermarket product which is TUV or CE certified, is allowed on the roads LEGALLY.
