Hmm road tax and insurance diff not tat much.. depending on wat u want... maybe u might wanan consider..... your suspension being stolen (for S4 la.. much easier u know).... single mono shock cornering much easier!!!! Higher power bend and torque... Of course la.. 600 leh.. hmmm

 

Up to you... but most importantly.. go check out the engine 1st.....

sky, i notice all the replies so far are from guys "connected" to hornets nest... maybe you should go kachau the super4 fellas and find out their side of the story. On my part, I've ridden the super4 vtec I, and am now riding a hornet900. given the choice between the super4 and hornet600, i'd go for the 600, especially if it's cheaper. there's even an arguable case between the hornet600 and the 900 as to which is the better bike, since the 600 is lighter and flickier, whilst the 900 is just slightly that much more powerful.

The reason for changing is currently im downgrading from R1 2001

Current Rd tax- 320 per year

Insurance 2nd party - 650

 

For Hornet 600

Insurance NTUC is 450

Rd tax - dont know

 

For Honda super four

Insurance 330

rd tax - 140 per year

 

i actually interested in the 600 as i think i would ride it all the way but thinking of the higher insurance and rd tax and whether is it hard and expensive to find accessories for it like exhuast , spare parts , dampers, tyres , i was also wondering about the FC for the 600 how much can i hit per litre

 

For the Super four , an older bike but for the FC is like abt 18 - 20 per litre and parts easy to find and cheaper but afraid that it would give me problems

 

For honda bikes its a myth that retifier needs to be change every once 1 or 2 years i was also wondering if it applys to the Horent 600

FC for the 600 is ard 17-19km/l. depends on riding habit. Fuel tank is rather small, therefore more petrol run. Stated 16l from empty to brim, but i ve nvr try before

i pump fr reserve to brim ard 12 l, giving u ard 200km.

 

I was a superfour rider for several yr b4. S4 has bigger tank n FC is better. BUT hornet 6 kick ass ... Since u rode R1 before ... wat the heck abt FC ... haha ...downgrade abit can liao, dun drop class leh

 

Exhaust , spare parts , dampers, tyres .. all can be avaliable from SG. no prob we got fellow H6 rider that has direct lobang from US n UK. He has a model H6 bike for u to molest.

 

honda bikes its a myth that retifier ... key word Myth, therefore this does not matter. anyway ... rectifier is not that ex. I ve check with bikeshop that other honda bike rectifier can be swap too. But for emergency like touring ... best to replace with H6 rectifier when u back in SG.

 

6k, FX is a good deal, what are u waiting for ...

me also Vtec 1 rider b4... of course there is FC concern.. but from what I am riding now.. maintainance wise... diff... mabye %20-30 in terms of tires brakepads,chains, spockets. Milege is 300 to reserve from my riding style.. but extra 5Ls to pump in! Hmmmm R1....... think mine slightly better as of now....

Seems like we r selling bikes to him, even G6 oso "chap ji ka" . My H6 reserve light kick in abt 200km haha. the choice is urs. So far dunno wat rectifier to use as the stock one still ok, do get a bit hot though. pls dun touch wif ur bare fingers

after thinking for sometime........... i think i may keep my r1, because liao 3k when trade in and fc+rd tax+ insurance of h6 or get super four the different of keepng my r1 fc+rd tax+ insurance base on calculations for a year diffence is abt 50 a month.

hey ano, don't bother to see my review as the bike had tamed me. i only manage to twist 1/2 of the throttle to make my balls shrink. therefore i cannot give a full review. i guess u have to buy, try it and u know. u should be able to give me a review by then.
