Strawberry jams ah. Keep it away from the heat and sun, if the pressure within it during the long ride back may pop the cap and you ended up with strawberry tank bag liao. At the night pasar malam, must try their 100% pure honey! hahah, you will gain some weight! hahahah....

Ride safe and enjoy the scenery. I love Cameron Highlands! Keep your feet dry!

Can someone please comment whether we need to bring along a chain to secure our bikes? I've been told many a time that Malaysia is not safe for bikes, but don't know whether the hotel and other places can be trusted. At the moment I only have a disc lock to bring along, are you guys getting chains along as well?

Sorry if this is a very stupid question but I am a total newbie to riding to Malaysia.

this aint any stupid question to ask.. its always good to bring along bike securities along as u r in foreign country.. any bike, any model will be a target..

usually i bring a pad lock and thick bicycle lock.. thou it may not be 100% secure but at least manage to deter ppl from eyeing it.

You should go get yourself 1 or 2 disc locks with alarm.

Probably more secure than a bicycle chain, with the added bonus of the alarm sounding when someone moves the bike.

But with disc locks, it's best to buy a disc lock reminder which you can tie to the handle bar to remind yourself that the lock is in place. You will not want to ride off with that disc lock still clamped to your bike! :)

May I add it's everyone's responsibility to make sure his/ her bike is properly serviced before the trip.

If your bike is not ready, it's not ready.

Also, travel insurance should be bought before each trip.

I would like to highlight that please bring at least 1 long sleeve top, as very highly the temperature will be very cold...

if you don't have, no prob it can be purchased at the pasar malam there. The last time I bought my long sleeve top like sweater material only at RM$10 haha :D

Below are a few items that I will say good to have:

- Waterproof footwear

- Long sleeve top

- gloves (applicable to pillion as well)

Dont forget to waterproof your personal belongings. Just get those zip lock bags of all sizes from army market or super markets. Especially riders with non waterproof riding gears or those using tank bag. The rain can catch you by surprise and you may not have time to find a safe covered stop to change.

Hm.. anyone knows where can get those microfibre travel towels? Heard it folds into very small size and dries quickly too.

Oh, don't forget to bring your hp/camera charger too.

Maybe you can try the diving shop, bro. I bought 2 towel and 1 face towel from phuket diving shops.

Nikonll,

Might as well just buy for one year. It's still the cheapest available and anytime you ride out of Sillypore, you'll be covered.
