Yo bro,

Y dont u try bonedry from oxford at motorworld...

Thumbs up for this..

Hmmm... I already bought my TCX boots just a couple of weeks ago, so I guess I'll hang on to them for a bit. Let's see how it goes, will have to sink more money into new boots if these really don't work out :(

Interesting. I bought the same model 2 years ago from Regina for $200 (after a lot of bargaining of course). They lasted me for those 2 years, I've only just replaced them.

I found them comfortable and waterproof, and not too hot. The only thing lacking in the design I felt was some kind of toe protection. The other problem is that the sole tends to wear out faster than the rest of the shoe (especially if you tend to walk around a lot while wearing them). So you could easily find yourself with a perfectly good shoe with a worn sole.... which is what happened to me. Your usage pattern may vary. Hope this helps!

your price is lower than mine. But i don understand why the can afford to sell at such a low price. actually they feel quite hot to me compared to tcx airtech but there are mixed review abt the waterproof ability on tcx so I settled with this.

anyway regina also like to chop people frm my experience , esp those that doesnt bargain.

Have u try to talk to the people at Chiap Lee about the leaking gore-tex boots?? I thought there is some king of warranty and they will replace the boots if it leaks in water.

Yeah, I went back to them when I wanted to replace my Puma, but they were quoting much higher prices this time. Maybe price has gone up in the last 2 years...?

Not yet, but I guess I should. For better or worse, I haven't had a chance to ride with the boots in heavy rain. I think I'll just test them in the shower and see if they keep the water out. Not sure what the option is - even if they give me a refund, I'm back to looking for a suitable pair of boots. And the options don't look very promising.

Many years back, I bought a pair of BMW gore-tex boots for about $350 at BMW showroom at Tanjong Rhu and it last me for 3 years without a single leak. I then sold it to my friend when i give up riding. Best boots i had, heavy rain no problem at all.

Interesting. A bit on the expensive side compared to Puma/TCX, but no more so than Sidi or AlpineStar I guess. But if you can find a good quality boot that fits you well and lasts for so long, then price is really a secondary consideration. I've bought my boots recently, but I think I'll go check out these BMW items anyway.

I'm using tcx airtech boots, yes the boot is well ventillated and its light weight compared to others. Good to wear on normal days. However it is water-resistant ,not totally water proof. Might feel slightly damp on some areas but personally i feel its ok when riding in our clmate. Wearing it for about 2 years now and the pvc at the back starts to break off. Sole still ok.

For the waterproofing, go to sporting motors at kaki bukit, buy the motorex water repellant spray and spray 2 coats on the goretex membrane. It works for other textile also. Its proven.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback. Is this water repellent meant to be sprayed on the inside or outside? And how does it affect breathability? Thanks!
