Fahmi, buzz me for fishing!. I does luring and only CnR (Catch and Release). :thumb:Just going for the thrill of tight lines and dragging. If all practice catch and eat, the population of great fish (eg. Kims, Barracuda, Snapper, Grouper, Travelly) is going to be decrease.

 

Sadly this the case of most anglers in Sg. one good example is at Bedok Jetty. You can see for yourself how many young fish are brought up daily and end up dried on the floor! No hard feelings but this is personal opinion. We need to start conservation.

bdk jetty is becoz too many pple fishing for tambans.. its either for eating or bait.. but if throw on the floor is a waste la.. shld have thrown back in the sea..

but for me if smaller than palm size i usually throw back.. if big i bring home.. i tink those that shld stop are those who use netting(jaring)..

pak ayob fishing pond.

 

went there yesterday, scenery n location nice but did 3 hr's fishing caught nothing n the live prawns bought there is like 1/2 dead. all 3 hrs i saw only 1 guy caught a miserable 3-400gm seabass. n saw 1 MJ swimming sluggishly put my live prawn infront also dun wanna eat. 2 seabass abt 2kg size but badly injured n swimming slowly n 2 floating dead seabass abt 1kg size.

 

i tried float/bottom n free swimming but not a single bite. :sian:

 

tho the foodstall beside the pond sells good kambing soup/tom yam soup n awesome seafood fried rice kampung style.

 

thoese interested in trying out. go to permas jaya after the flyover(above a wide river) turn right at the 1st traffic light n follow the road all the way in u can see signboard indicating the way to the pond.

 

34 ringgits for 3 hrs. 70cents/live prawns.

Hey guys, I am organising a trip to ah yew kelong in Malaysia, Sibu. I was there once maybe 3 yrs back. Anyone interested in joining? 3 days, 2 night. 15th-17th Aug. Trip should not costs more than $150 including transport, lodging and food if we can get the right number of anglers (about 8 anglers). Presently, I have 4 confirmed. Max 10 anglers. Interested parties, do contact me at 82852225 for Jimmy. Pls note that I do not make a single cent thru this fishing trip. I am just trying to bring down the cost!
