Yo Guys!

 

Heres my story for last night...

 

Met at 10pm at west coast park to board the boat.

 

Reached the first spot at around 10.30pm... all lines down!!

 

But no nibble at all...

 

So around 11+ we told the boatman to change spot...

 

Arrived at new spot but still no nibble at ALL..

 

Same routine repeat itself... until 1am.. suddenly my line start running outward... wah! excited! tried pumping, but DAMN heavy!! however there was no fight la... just heavy... so i just kept pumping it up...

and soon it came up, at first it looked like a grouper (Too dark cnt see clearly), then we realised that its 1 SUPER big bunch of seaweed...

 

Had no hooked up until really late in the night... around 4am i caught the first catch of the night, which was a bamboo shark! No value tho, pest in fact, but hey, its my first shark..

 

After that everyone got motivated again... Lol... Silence for a few moment.. then suddenly i got this pretty strong tug on my rod... Happys sia. so i fight with the fellow for awhile.. then it gave up, so i reeled it in effortlessly... and boomz! its another shark.. this time it looks more valuable..

 

Pretty silent for the night... until e morning around 7am+, we changed spot...

Dropped my line... waited awhile.. then suddenly a super strong tug, even happier this time! then my drag started running...

 

So tighted my drag a little and started fighting the fish.. this time was much better fight compared to both sharks... after awhile, the fish finally surfaced.. i caught a "Kachi"! (not sure if it is or spelt correctly.. Lol..)

Arga Arga around 1.5Kg i think..

 

But that was the end of my fishing streak.. no luck after that... but my frens landing a few small fishes.. all below 1kg i guess... execpt for another shark landed...

 

Ha, whenever i go boat fishing, i'l always hold my rod throughout the entire trio... the only time you'l see my rod in the rod stand is when i give up or go toilet.. Lol. its nice to feel every single acting going on under e sea... but now hand going blister.. Lol.

 

Overall, awesome night for me. But was super shag in the morning.. had to figure out how to transport the shark and kachi back with my bike.. Lol... the power of a 42L box..

 

on the way back, i totally anyhow ride... SHAG ah... actually had to perform an E-brake cuz of the stupid traffic light... lucky still alert..

Somewhere in the morning, my fren got this strong bite... then the fellow swam downwards and prbly hide in the rocks... then suddenly the fellow start dashing out and my friend practically sat on the boat floor using his body weight to fight that fellow... lie backwards and reel in over and over again...

 

he managed to crank about 10 times.. then the line bursted...

 

Ha, now we'l never know what monster lies in there...

Last week..wen fishing at tanah merah...Now days..they block all entry...caught 1 big catfish..i think wt nearly 2kg...& 1 medium size kerapu...

Yo bros.. no1 fishing recently?... prices of fishes going up leh.. haha.

 

anyway... guess what i added under my bike's seat?

its a humble handline with apollo hooks and a small Lure! =D

 

this is so i can throw my line down anytime if i happen to have some free time or come across a lake or smth... Lol, i dont mind fishing at canel under gf's block while waiting for her to finish putting her make up on..

 

Ha, but fishing with a handline and a lure is quite tiring... cnt even cast far.. Lol. anyone got any recomendation on what "preserved" bait i can put under my seat too? that will come really handy!... im thinking of those fish bread... you know, those extreamly hard kind they sell at pet store.. seems like the best option...

 

Anyway just to update: yesterday i Emo-ed abit... so i went to west coast park to smell the simple sea breeze... been 1 month since i last touched my fishing rod... went up to that small little jetty and guess what? the "no fishing" sign there disappeared... =D not sure if fishing is now allowed on the jetty or some prankster's work...

 

anyway, i looked down onto the surface of the sea and guess what i saw? these unknown fishes... looks like your regular gar fish... long and thin.. except that their head had a GREEN GLOW... Note: its a GLOW, not reflection of sun on their shiney skin or smth... cuz it still glows even when they swim in shadowed area... rather interesting. and there were a couple of them swimming around.. anyone knows what are they? Long and thin like gar fish (20 cm or so) and nose appeared to have a green glow.

 

ha, next time i'l be there with my handline! hopefully the No Fishing sign is not back..
