  1. 1. What do you and ur pillion do when it rains heavily?

    • You wear the rain gear, your pillion can get wet
    • Your pillion wears the rain gear, you get wet
    • Wait for the rain to stop
    • Take public transport home

Are you implying that all IRC tires dont perform well on wet roads?

Just qurious. If it isnt good then I think I'll have to change my tires.

Like i say, tyres is the first contact point between your machine to the road ...... I have never trusted IRC tyres....proven to be too much of problems..... and if u do a search , much has been discussed and said about it too. Dn save such money .... not worth it.

Guys,

Rain is our curse, please do increased your "heartbeat" to prevent cold engine. Personnally, i had bike died off twice today.....VERY dangerous as i was int he middle of the road......

ALSO,

Water would most Probably splash or rain would hit your engine as our engine are naked...... DO take note of your spark plug and its header...once it got wet...thats the end.....dn ever think of starting your engine....

BEST OF ALL.

Take public transport and dn ride....liek me...at times i take public transport.....

RIDE SAFELY.

Yup.. Agreed.. The 1st time I ride in the rain, didn't expect the rain drops to be so powerful.. hit my hands, neck and shoulders.. Even with rain coat, the impact can be quite hard even when riding a raincoat..

Normally bring 2 raincoat...

Somehow it doesnt help much if rain is heavy can still feel the pain though it hits on the rain coat.... :giddy:

Also dunno y even wearing raincoat i still can get wet... :sian:

4) Always keep on the left and not speed

Bro,

Disagree on this point.. recommend all to ride centre lane if 3 lane / left of 1st lane...

Dun keep too close to each side of the road... Especially its raining continously...

You never know which side of the road has flooded. hence i think centre is still the best. Road are desgined in such a way for catchment of water by drainage. high tendency to flood!! :cheeky:

2day fun sia. I ride to camp after my stitched leg can run oredy. Like play game like that wen in the rain. But wen go back suddenly i feel my lan j*ao like a bit wet. Skali wen go back i see, my raincoat trousers tear as big as my fist sia. Damn paisei liao. Whole trousers inside all soaked up.

Moral of story= Wear your raincoat pants properly. Not too low. I know if put high high look like ah pek but its definitely better den getting ur groin area drenched...

to install hazard lights is good... have it on in cases where u have to stop by the road side, its to notify others to take note of ur veh.

But it is not correct to on ur hazard lights while riding in the rain... cars do so doesnt mean its correct.... hazard lights is used when the veh got problem, or in the above case.... its a offence to ride with ur hazard lights on and it create more problem then safety, some may mistaken a stop for a moving veh with the hazard lights on and otherwise..... u can ask a TP should u have the chance.... :giddy:

i disagree, in cases when the rain is really heavy which i encounter once, everyone travelled slow and on their hazard lights, to let those behind n in front take note of ur vehicle cos there's always those ****ers who still speed in heavy rain. In such case i dun think its an offence.

Hazard lights should only be used when vehicles are stationary and in emergencies only.

Vehicles with hazards lights on may give false impressions to drivers behind that it has stopped or is coming to a stop.

And in bad rainy weather, slow reaction, bad judgement, it is all receipe for an accident waiting to happening.

Use wisely!

yes i agree dun ride wif hazard light on,e reason gave by my father was this...if u on hazard light ok...ppl will see...but wat happen if u wanna change lane???yes u on ur signal light to show ppl, but ppl already saw u hazard light on liao would they actually notice u change to a signalling light instead of hazard light???so for my case wat i'll do is...keep a look out on my mirror...if e cars are too near for my safety juz light tap ur brake n warn them off, and by doin dat ur actually regainin ur friction on ur brake pad as they are being heated up....BUT, i walk e walk i dun talk e talk...cuz...dunno im juz crazy...rain no rain, speed is same on Exway, juz dat i dun follow near n i corner real dead slow...other den dat i reide as per normal...Safe Riding...

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

On your hazard light to ride. If you don't have one, switch on a signal and keep to the left lane. Isn't it good to let the vehicle behind you have the impression that you are stopping or stopped? At least he will definitely slow down inorder not to hit you.

In cases where you need to change lane, just switch off the hazard light and put on turn signal.

Stop at the nearest possible shelter.Let the rain shower the road for at least 10mins. Put on my raincoat if any. Be ready to ride in the rain. Keep to the slow moving lane on most times. Maintain a safe distance with the vehicle in front. Pre plan route and more alertness on riding actions. Keep safe speed. Seek shelter again if confidence runs low.

For me alwayx bring a raincoat go out one...so sure change to one if it happens to rain.

As for pillion, I dun bring xtra helmet though...the only prob is sometimes aft end work, colleagues will ask for a ride having a helmet in workplace. Then i will put it across that if it rains, then ask him to be prepared to get wet..hee...
