hi guys,

i'm trying to DIY the R1 throttle for my K6

i can't get the throttle cable into the R1 grip

lock nut was adjusted to the max to get the most slack, still not enough

can anyone help? tks

Since you already got the slack, maybe you should try unplug the cable from the cam where you adjust the idling?

looks like tat's the only way

how come some bikes have enough slack just by adjusting the lock nuts???

Don't forget that the cable is not cater for a bigger throttle tube, which in turn required more slack than before. If you use back the stock tube, it should have enough slack right?

Yesh correct... You have to adjust the slack to the minimum first... 1/5 turn.. still not so bad... you want 1/4 turn.. maybe you'll need to change the cables as well

I encountered a problem these past few days... My rear caliper sometimes get jammed on its own... So.. is it time to get it serviced?

previously i got the same problem on my K2 600...

might be due to the master pump piston jammed...

repair cost should be

I already know of 2 other friends riding the K3/K4 1000 who have had this problem... Maybe its quite a common problem... :giddy:

I used the Ant-Lion Flip up back then.. but i think it feels like S.H.I.T, so I changed back to the original Brembo lever. Clutch still using OEM... Yes CRG already not cheap, what more the flip-up.. But you have made a good choice; CRG is value for money compared to others like Titax, etc... :thumb:

Initially tot of getting a Pazzo shorty for Brembo to go along with the RCS but after some advise and consideration, decided to switch over to flip ups..

But definitely wanted the clutch side to be of a uniform colour and lever too..

it is just enough for the stock tube

The R1 tube fits straight on about $15 from memory, gives you enough to get a full twist without having to reposition you hand...

It doesn't matter what the question is, the answer is more power!

Obviously contravening some obscure SBF rules and regulations somewhere.

Just like the nPark incident..... we won't know, because those rules are "not exhaustive".....
