Seems like k7 600 a popular buy amongst the gxrs

To me its popular cause its 600cc the power of the bike is just nice for singapore road usage and abit mod and its ready for practice tracking in pasir gudang..y not k7 600 u dont need to pay much insurance cheap due to its cc and u get everything u need in a bike for both singapore street and pasir gudang track (woah i can become promoter or not?) haha

K6/K7 600/750 is the first platform where they have 8 injectors and go through a significant weight and bulk reduction on 600/750. It also has fewer electronics compared to K8 onwards models, reliable, many accessories and parts availability. Cost is fairly cheap at this age, so if you crash, it's not so heart pain to write-off.

750 is good cos at the same body size, you get 20hp more with just a bit more money. More worth than to change exhausts and such. Displacement is the easiest way to gain linear power across the whole rpm. Super/turbo-charging is no-no for bikes as the power is non-linear. Gains through other means are marginal in comparison.

Bros, I have a noob question, can GSXR-600 use touring tyres like STIangels for good mileage or they have to use high performance racing tyres

Class 3 - 29 May 2009

Class 2B -10 May 2010

Class 2A - 30 June 2011

2010-2011 Phantom 150

2011- Now GSR400

Can use touring tyres but bike will lose its' "sportiness" due to lower grip. If you commute long distance daily, I supposed it's fine. But if short distance, better go for sports tyres so you can change within a year or 2 years max. If you track, touring tyres are totally out.

The touring tires definitely worth investing since on my previous ride. the thread are almost 80% thick after 10,000km.

what's there to worry abt, corners seekers are more on racing tires...more grips wherelse touring tires are meant for street users Edited by 299

There is bro...riding onboard a K5 1000 Gixxer had juz won the SMSA Bike Race Series at Johor Circuit last sunday and thus clinching the overall title for the Superbike Open Expert Champion 2012..been riding a gixxer since the 80s and still riding a gixxer till today...

Great! It's a rider bike. Rider skill is usually the bottleneck unless one race as a profession. That's why normal riders like me need all the driving aids (traction control, ABS, ride-by-wire, etc)

Normal rider don't need all the riding aids....juz need to practice more....unless a pro racer where they race as a profession they nid all the technology..unlike us which I still believed until now wif regards to all Singapore riders...at our level racing in a club race ..bike doesn't make any different...whether ur riding a 2012 bikes or a 2005 bikes..
