Hi guys.

I am interested of doing security part time. I have already applied for the Security Officer Licence. Once approved, what happens next? I understand that once the licence has been approved, i can just join a company because i already meet the requirements right?

So once approved, i got no card, can i get a security officer job straight away or i need the card?

Can anyone shed light on the normal procedures on how to be a Security Officer? Thanks.

EDIT: I understand that

1) Get the licence. The acknowledgement slip, then can start to work. The card never make and receive yet, its no issue. Is this true?

Just curious...are Club Bouncers paid more than Security Officers as they need to go through specialized training? Anyway, I heard that Marina Bay Sands Casino are paying their Officers $1.9K a month. Sounds quite good...

Sorry bro, for in-house I dont think there are part timers. Why dont you want full time? Its better with the benefits and all.

Eh I'm away from the industry for 2 years but I remb u havr to display yr ID when on duty.

Also I thought you would need to go for course? I took my nsrs in 2006, then they change to WSQ, I think got two or three levels to take? the basic one is patrol and access control and some incident management stuff for my time.

Security usually 12 hour shift leh. If yr schooling will be fierce. I had my weekends burn before I finish school then.

operate a vehicle in a way that you benefit other road users pls - and meanwhile, stop whining! be responsible and be safe.

Also you can read the sird website at where u applied for private security licence. Got one pdf that states the legalities binding since 2009 onwards I think. If u were from spf or saf from certain rank onwards don't need to go for security course.
