I have seen too many DRZs with burnt harnesses coz they used a headlight bulb which is too strong and their stock harness cannot handle the load.

And the harness replacement cost a few hundred dollars.

Its your bike and your money, you decide.

I wished my previous owner retained the ori headlamps. Ktm fenders looks good but the Ktm headlamp wiring is just so messed up.

Those that seen my DRZ would know that after so much modifications I did to it, I still using the stock headlight...

Because it's bright and good, works as a headlight instead of a flashlight..

Still bright even with the tinted headlight protector on..

Other aftermarket headlights, unless the mechanic is a very well electrically trained..

What he'll do is just cut and twist the wires together, then making the already messy chunk of cables at the headlight more messy.. Insulates them with black tape and pray that they dun drop out or get in contact with other wires..

I'm no fan of KTM headlights, they dun really look nice compared to KLX450 one..

This one is slick.. Liked this a lot, but I jut can't bear to strip out my stock headlight...

Besides electrical issues, mounting issues are also found in aftermarket headlights..

They are not mounted properly..

But in the end, it's your money, your bike...

Ticks: I'm sure some DRZ owners wanna sell their stock headlight and bracket.. Be sure to only trisect when the headlight comes with the bracket, else you would have mounting problems unless your previous owner mounted the aftermarket headlight on the stock brackets..

Thanks very much for the advice bro. That's y u remember few weeks ago i asked about the started button wiring harness being burnt, that's when i saw the wires inside look like they're ready to be set on fire anytime.

Although i dunno u but u still give endless advice. Thank God for people like you. Will scout around for the ori ones. cheers..

Btw,for drz , what brembo brake pump can be used ?.. Confuse ar got rcs 19 la etc ... Haha

You want to increase braking power... you change the calipers and brake disc.

Changing to bigger aftermarket brake pumps, without changing the front brake disc size or calipers... makes the front brakes very grabby and twitchy... and worst still... reduces the braking power... yes you read correctly... reduces the braking power.

If you don't believe... come down to my shop and I will explain to you through diagrams. Hydraulics and the Bramah's Press principle, that Force=Pressure X Area... is something to be understood first before you can understand why brake components come in so many different sizes.

The stock brake lines are just rubber hoses.. and they soften over time. When braking pressure is applied.. the hoses expand and soak up the braking force to the brake calipers thereby reducing the braking effectiveness.

Changing to steel braided hoses prevents the loss of braking pressure due to expansion simply because steel braided hoses do not expand undert pressure so all the pressure is directed towards the brake caliper pistons.
