yes the pipe does look and sound good but sometimes i wish i could increase the bore size and stroke of the engine juz to give it a slight oomph ...and maybe change the suspension..?...longer travel...

wakakakakakakak..... ive been to many overnight trips to endau rompin, i can dare say, a vara125 can easily conquer that terrain, but why no vara dares... cause HnB panniers too ex to drop and scratch... "i fix crashbar already...." but scared my crashbar bent if drop.. so whats the point of fixing a crashbar... i admit that the Vara125 is underpowered.. but who cares.. Saddiq and Nineh has proven me wrong so far.. they have made the bike to suit the terrain, not the rider suit the terrain...

 

what the riders here are doing is refrain from posting, scared kene bombard..

 

if anyone wants to do an overnight trip to Endau Rompin, me and Demon will be more glad than happy to escort u guys in and out.. we will accomodate to the most easiest route for u guys... if u have been buying all those tourcross helmets and alpinestars and expensive jacket to be worn on road, then its time for u to start buying a sportsbike..

Few years back, Akon, Toobez, Farhan, Redwolf, Butcher + Butcherette, Embrace, Easyrider, Wady, Dato (they could be a few more but my memory is failing) all riding the Vara125, rode all the way to Kg Peta in the rain, and came out in pitch black darkness.

 

Although there were many casualties, as it was a virgin offroad trip for many, everyone survived, and it made us all a better and more resilient rider.

 

So lets ride.

I think most people stay away from the thread because it has become too personal nowadays... Well i was a vara newbie once and i thought u guys were a great bunch (and i still think some of u are!!).

 

BTW i will like to concur... I never thought varadero 125 is a dirt bike....

I say its an all-rounder.. it can be a dirt bike, a mini TDM 900 or GS in the class 2B (altho the derbians are giving the varas a run for the money), a commuting bike, or it can be a aesthetically good eye-catching pimped up bike on the local road.

 

Whateva the reason you spent ur cash on the vara, the bike is just a bike.. Its not the bike that matters, its the bonds formed over the meet-ups and trips that keep this thread alive..

I used to get offended by Farhan's posts. i remember one particular occassion when he insinuated i was interested in guys. idiot!

 

but after the Labis trip some months back and getting to know him, i realise that he's easygoing and witty. sometimes can post provoking things (or most of the time). i guess he's just missing riding and adventuring with varas, thats all. or maybe he's seen the great potential of the bike and hope current vara riders can realise that potential too.

 

at the end of the day hopefully we can end this long spate of harping over differences and just enjoy our common passion in riding (vara or whatever) and respect each other's interest may it be in adventure/touring/offroading/pimping/commuting with their rides.

 

for me, i'll just have to concentrate on work and when the appropriate weekends come along i'll go for mostly day trips up north or if really cant, go offroad in punggol like saddiq. to each his own.

 

im organising something this December which I hope all of us will join in. More details to come once its firmed up. meanwhile, ride safe on and off roads.

Those who can't wait till Dec because the rider and machine all primed to roar, can join the Big Tankers from Slackers for a Happy Trail this Saturday.

 

The definition of "Happy Trail" is to explore some offrroad grounds in GP town for 30mins, and eat for 3hrs. Our regular lunch joint is seafood at Pendas. Will be back in Singapore by 4pm.

 

One extra incentive to why vara125 riders must come for this ride is that Lilfarhan will not be coming as he has to work.
