Hi VaRaiders ... moi interested in buying this bike.

But before that, got few questions to ask ... :)

 

- whats the price ?

- easy maintenance, fuel consumption and

are parts cheaper compare to Derbi Adv. ?

- top speed .. ?

 

 

1. Price if new sure comparable with Derbi Terra Adv.

2. Top speed, continuous 100~120 no prob...seldom hit 130(i tink impossible)

3. Fuel Consumption: 23~29km/l, wad i noe from other vara riders...mine is 27km/l

Sorry I couldn't make it for the top-up on sat night, definitely looking forward to do that soon!

 

A few generic questions, where do you guys take care of maintenance, how often do you do it, and what's the estimated cost? (things like engine oil, tire pressure, brake fluid, spark plugs, etc)

Engine oil change every 5k thats what I used to do. But I realized can last longer.

I used fullysync so one change will cost u around $20-30.

 

Brake fluid usually ppl change once a yr or 2.

Bleeding usually cost $10 per caliper.

 

Spark plug I usually change every alternate oil change.

Normal spark plug cost about $10.

Iridium plugs about $18.

If you really no money then get those china- made ones.. $2 can get already!

 

Tire pressure check every week.

Pump for free at petrol station or bike shop.

I can do for you but u charge $10 per tire :p

 

What else you wanna know?

Now I charge $5 per question.

For engine oil, im using bel-ray EO. Its better than motul 7000+. I use have some problem changing gear while using motul. But after using bel-ray it was all good and smooth!

I have a vara 125 for sales - FU plate COE ends @ Nov 2011.Currently is with my mechinic using it.

If you want I will do the renewal for 10yrs.

 

Selling @ $7K neg.(with Brand New 10years COE) - Bike is Accidents free from I brought over till now.

Yearly Deprecation @ $700 per year.

 

Bikes come with following items :

 

1) New Horn (not OEM similar to air horn - louder)

2) Acebis Handguard

3) Crash bar

4) Scottoiler

5) New Chains and Sockets

6) New Speedo meter (will change before handover bike)

7) New IU (will change before handover bike)

8) GIVI top box

9) Main Stands

10) Givi Windscreen

Using belray too......used both the fully and semi syn....now trying out Belray Thumper.....so far so good.

Wow! Vara125 now so ex? haha. Used to be 12K plus last time, guess the price for good bikes always go higher. :)

Try SPEEDWAY MOTORS, they have a brand new DERBI TERRA. The last i enquired it was going at $8.9k OTR. :) . Good Luck!!
