Finally collected mine today at 7pm. Bike is very smooth and acceleration is comparable to my old phantom. Can't wait for it to run in!

Congratz & welcome to the group :thumb: It will be even more smoother after you've completed your engine break-in. NJoy your ride & ride safely :)

Thanks. When running in, what should the max speed I can keep to?

What i did was totally following the manual book. For first 500km, avoid prolonged operation above 4500 r/min. Which nv got into 70km/hr at the last gear. The rest are as follows in the manual. Remember that the first few kilometers of the bike would require lot of patience from you and you will get a fruitful result in the end.

Thanks again. So just keep to around 70km/hr. Though it is mentioned in the manual, somehow not used to digital RPM readout so had trouble glancing tachometer to speedometer and back on the way home yesterday.

To all bros/gals considering getting the FZ, do give Excel cycle a look. Great service and price. Even if their margin is low for small cc bike, they did a great job in getting the bike earlier for me. What I like best when I was comparing prices around was OTR means OTR with everything less insurance which is subjective. One place say OTR does not include admin, another place say does not include IU even though was close to committing to buy from them. Might have gotten my FZ even earlier if not for these time wasters.

On a side note, any fellow FZ owners interested in getting the Iridium Spark Plug? Did a search and found the equivalent type to be an NGK DPR8EIX-9. Anyone knows how much locally it cost? On ebay it's about S$15~16 including delivery.

my first top up was 34km/l, my 2nd top up was 37km/l.

wah then that particular bro must be riding highway all the time to hit 45km/l. manufacturer rating they put its fuel consumption as 40km/l. reviews put it as city 36km/l, highway 47km/l

i was wondering when will this version of fz16 be coming into spore... any ideas???

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w204/cryptier_shah/FZ150N.jpg

Comparing with the current version, i see the only diff is just the headlight.... :)

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w204/cryptier_shah/FZ150S.jpg

and yea the diff is the dual headlights, trademark fazer fairing and bigger windscreen for the fazer and the additional windscreen for the fz-s. other than that its powertrain and specs should be the same.

for this is best go to yamaha showroom and pop by the sales area to ask.

normally for bike during run in your FC will be better cos you are not stressing the engine and crusing at about 70km/h max, after run in your FC will be higher than your run in FC as you throttle more to 80 and 90km/h

I haven't got a chance to note down on the average fc yet. Just haven't got the time to drain till empty and topup to full...

As for slider and engine guard, I don't think theres any of it at the moment in Singapore. But I've seen pictures of it on the net. Probably can modofy to fit.

Thank you for the info

Thanks all bro. I should say that the average fc should be 35-40km/l. mixture of city and expressway riding.

Not sure, you can use the GPR clamp.

How do you fix the clamp? The old one can be remove? And do you know the size of your renthal fat bar in terms of it thickness?

Do not worry, its dummy proof to fix it :) Do not need to use the old clamp already since Im using the 1 1/8” fatbar clamping area. Anyway there's many standard size renthal everywhere. Any shop selling it should know about it.

Ouh. Thanks! Meaning to say, the stock bar clamp is removeable? It seems to be welded though.

Just unscrew the 4 screws at the bar clamp. Dummy proof :)

I also when to HL and got the same thing. Didn't know that the promo will end by end of the month as the lady didn't say anything.

By the way, I know the duration of the warranty is 6 months but is there a duration for the servicing? i.e. must finish within 6 months all three servicing?

Not sure bout the duration, but what I know is the servicing be done when reached 1000km, 2000km, n 3000m respectively.
