I know this is a stupid question, ignore it if it really is a stupid one, once you install this light bulb, will it be approved by LTA? Is the voltage required same as the stock?

In short you do not need to worry

1) LTA - because is still ~4300k Color

2) LTA - Inspection

3) Throws further and thus more visibility for rider and other road user. Common "reason" when things happen. UR BIKE TOO SMALL cannot see you.

newbie here.

i just got my fz16 last week from a dealer. it's 2012 version.

i just notice this week where the machine is ticking especially if im riding on expressway

or when the bike is parked after long ride from home to office.

the ticking is like sewing machine sounds.

 

is it happening for you guys? or do you know if there's something wrong with my bike? thanks!

 

I get the ticking too after a ride. I think that's the engine cooling down or something like that. Haven't heard the ticking while riding though.

I use pirelle sport demon, has a more rounded circumference for more leaning in turning, it is lighter than bridgestone tires price if i remember correctly is 250

Hi admin, I could not find any sections for newbies..so I hope I'm not in the wrong sections to intro.

 

Bird here..a proud owner of gen 3 FZ16. First rode it on nov 16th. Without doubt this is a very good bike. Bought this bike for leisure and work purposes. Also an Toyota Axio owner from Team AxioSG... I have a very little knowledge in bike but not for cars..I really do hope u guys can share some thoughts if I ever have any queries on our FZ16. Looking forward to meet up in near future..

fz16 has 3 generations now. 1st gen is no kick start. 2nd gen different speedo/odo marking and have kick start. 3rd gen is same as 2nd gen speedo/odo but the pillion grabs are same as the fz16-st model (black n slim)

 

So the difference between first gen and second gen is the kick start ah? I checked the bike details it's made in 2011, but then it has kick start wor... Can anyone just install a kick start and play it off as second gen?

According to my knowledge, it is impossible to install kick-start on fz16 1st gen, I have tried asking around, to install it you will essentially be opening up the engine itself to fix the clank etc into the engine. I could be wrong about it being impossible to install kick-start. With gen 2 being released in a short while after gen 1 is no surprise as most probably they had enormous reports/feedback about gen 1 about its e-starting or battery problems that they had to quickly make an improved version to be sold into the market, I am one of those with gen 1 and has problem starting every now and then, I can only suck my thumb and use it till I change a new one.

Hey guys, Im riding a fz16 for about half a year. Guys i do need some advise or lobang if you people have any ayt.

1) Due to my size , my top end is ard 110. what are the things that can be done to increase it , at least a 130? as i understand its a 150cc bike. but any guys have any idea?

2) what are the best recommended brand for big bore?

3) if to install big bore, any bike shop u all can recommend me to?

4) other than big bore, wad are the other things that need to be done, to fully utlitze top speed to the big bore kit.

5) last but no least, the best big bore brand recommended. wad are the good and the bad point?

U can try unique motoring, they sell belly with...er...side fork guard (is it how it is called?), they sell those (3 colors) not very unique design, only 1 type of design, if there are more impressive design, color etc, I would love to know and get 1 myself. I also looking to do full sticker decal of my fz16 with FF13 Lightning if possible hehe.

If you wanna do some maintenance after buying the bike from the previous owner, the most common thing you might wanna change is spark plug, front and back brakes, EO, tyres, clutch lining, sprocket set and my air filter was washed rather than changed. I typically do not spray water on my bike, rather I bring a cloth down with a pail of water and wipe my bike. I bring down lubricant to at the same time lubricate my chain and the axle of my wheels.

I am not sure about the default idling state but mine is slight less than 2k most of the time after engine has warmed up, if I just start my engine, the idle state will be almost at 1k, idle state of engine can be adjusted, on the left side of your bike at the engine area, you should see a small screw that you can turn to adjust the idle rpm, (clockwise to increase, anti-clockwise to decrease), to know which is the screw, twist your throttle and look at the left side engine area, you should see a triangle like thing moving up and down. Each time u release throttle, the triangle metal should sit/hit the top of the screw, if you see that, that will be the screw that you will be looking for to adjust. Hope this helps.
