Today I just check the stock tyre to Pirelli angel city 140/70 and 110/70. Bike feel obvious less power and chain become tighter, any idea? ( tested abit on engine, still feel strong, more like when moving the power lesser)

I also recently changed the tires at unique, i found that the grip like better, previous tire sometimes i feel like doesnt grip the road well. didnt really notice any change in the engine power.

Not sure if suspension have anything to do with it.

in my view,

the stock MRF tyre, is good enough for road use. thus the build is simple n lighter too.

pirelli n other brands' tyre quality n build are better. thus heavier.

fz16 is a 2B bike. the tyre fz16 used are for 2A bike..

I'm looking to replace the brake and clutch levers of my FZ16 bike. What motorcycle model has compatible levers with our bike? I wanted to replace them with ASV, Pazzo, or any better levers. If anyone knows of a model or part number that is compatible, that would be good.

I just bought a set from Carousell. Aluminum levers with reach adjustment. $35. Just search for "FZ16 brake clutch levers"

Hello guys! Newbie help needed here!

Just gotten a 2nd hand fz16 (no sure which gen but got kickstarter). Went for servicing and change the few necessary stuffs like spark plug, oil flier, engine oil even change sprocket and chain (as the prev owner didn't take good care of it). Thing is, i noticed there is a leak in my engine oil area. Is it a serious problem? (worried). Are there any solutions available and how much will it typically cost me?

Also, I noticed each time after a ride, when i off my engine there will be a ticking sound (tick...tick....tick...tick) accompanied by sandy-like low noise? Not sure if you guys get my drift. If you do, any solutions? Seems like prev owner really nvr take good care of his bike. Go viewing that time in his carpark quite dim can't see properly and partly also I'm new to this.

Most common is the bolt( under the bike) thread worn off the engine thread. Mine is the same. Simple solution, use those 'white tape' for hose to create some thread. Or bring to shop to make a thread. Cost: $150-$200 est according to my mechanic. Otherwise $1-2 for the roll, can Use for sometime. You might want to check that part?

New tires are definitely better than the stock or aged tire. MRF tire is hard n flat.

fz16 is a 2B bike. the tyre fz16 used are for 2A bike..

MRF tyre is smaller in terms of size when compared to pirelli and michelin. if i nvr remember wrongly, MRF uses 100 for front and 130 for rear. pirelli and michelin uses 110 front and 140 rear.

Drain plug leaking? did u check if the thread is spoilt? or is there a copper ring on the drain plug? if haven't find the leak, what u can do is clean up the engine case area n check for traces of oil.

tick tick sound when u off the bike? its normal. some say is contraction of metal.

recommend to do a permanent repair on the spoilt thread. need to remove the oil pan n send for welding n then re-thread. its better than using white tape. the last thing u wanna know is white tape find its way into the oil sump area n manage to get itself choked somewhere in the engine.

Thanks skateboy! Anw i've check with the mech, probably overpour of EO since day 2 onwards no leaks :)

Anw can anyone recommend me a set of good tyres? (purpose - transport bike). i felt my current ones are kinda worn out and doesn't have a good grip on the road. Can feel the 'skid' especially when weaving in highway and whenever pass road markings.

Yes a pair. Size is same as stock tyres, 110 & 140.

Wheel balancing is same as what they do for cars, the rim & tyre is mounted on a machine and small metal weights are attached to the rims to counter any imbalance in the wheels. My front wheel needed some weights while my rear is fine. Overall bike feels smoother at cruising speed.

I went to W**g Y*p at AMK Ave 10. Disclaimer: I'm was a first time customer too as I've just started riding and haven't settle on a regular bike shop.

U can check on the level on the dipstick. its together with the engine oil cap. FYI only.

Tyres, michelin pilot street, pirelli dragon or pirelli angel city, all are better than stock MRF tyre. just survey ard the price.

Hi all.. i would like to clarify something.

As seen from the image above, is the upright fully extended parking position of the main stand normal?
