pump full air into tyres

tighthen chain drive

 

Labour charge RM3

 

got shock to see one screw nail poked into rear michelin tire

used the gum to cover the hole RM 5

now machine running 92,000km today morning

 

tested uphill and hard acceleration - confirmed clutch plates are getting weak. need to change after another 8k mileage

how long your battery last ?

 

mine last 3 years sharp. actually still can go more but I not daring so I change to new one every 3 years

look like raider is quite a lasting bike. Spark 135 connecting rod bearings won't be able to last so long. it keep running, but the bearings is toast when reaches 40,000-50,000km.

 

anyway, love reading your maintenance record. haha...

removed old S.R.K. auto chain tensioner

one to one change IU under warranty

 

fantastic handwork service at SIn MIng

 

modified bracket to suit me - IU looking up easy to see the lcd panel

 

IU warranty = 5 years

 

Void warranty if

 

IU got scratches

IU don't have approved bracket with 4 rubber tagged with screws

the meter has a code 01 on part number

that means they have rectified the problem

it can bought has one set

My Raider needs a service. Static oil leak from base of crankcase. Probably gasket cracked... can someone recommend a mech with access to parts and familiar with the bike?

Hi. I am new to this thread. Just confirmed to buy a used Raider 150R. Hope my choice is right. The crab is upgraded but I don't really like. More for leisure riding as getting older. Senior and experience users of this bike, feel free to share your advise to me.

 

Notice reasonable parts available in JB as share by gunshead. This is very good for new comer like me. I think the chain tensioner is good add on. I will find a day to visit to JB.

also the bike wash/polish place after hari ray stopped washing bikes cause he say no profit

raider is not recommended unless u have a lot cash

raider parts not cheap if involve overhaul

make sure bike good condition in engine otherwise forget it

Hi Gunshead. Suppose to make transfer on 1st August. Can't really judge whether the engine is still in good condition. Seems you don't favour Raider. Having bad experience? Please share. But on all earlier post, seems having good post or review on this Raider.

 

The bike I want to buy is in this forum used bike. Maybe you have seen the ad. Maybe you can tell me more.

i love suzuki raider

 

what i say is this bike serve well if the owner knows technical aspects and of contacts and have parts catalogue and knows how and when to do servicing

 

but it is a tragedy if someone try to modify and made it become horrible

 

if u follow all the pages in this forum and know the way i work on raider , u will notice the bike is strong

i bought my raider also from this forum. one person advert here. Got it SGD 3000 at about 30,000km mileage many many years ago

 

i never had bad experience with raider.....what i am saying is i cannot guarantee if your bike or u urself is good with technical knowledge. If raider spoilt , i tell u it is not cheap in engine overhaul

it can shoot up to 500 hundred over dollar full overhaul . i know this cause i saw other people overhaul
