Change my starter relay and now it is back to good use. Nothing mch to repair. Will fix back the cowling soon.

Actually starter relay can be bought from Suzuki Setia. Just no more stock that day I went there. Since already in JB no choice but to ask the regular motor shop to get non original. Cost me RM68 for the relay.

 

Relay is just beside the battery under the seat. It has cover wit 2 fuses. The motor shop I usually went is the next row of shops at Kang Soon spare parts shop. I can just buy parts and let them charge labour.

After using the 15T front gear, power at gear 1~4 is ok. But at 5~6 rather weak. Need to drop gear to push up. Now the speedo very close to cars on the road. Normal is 14T-43 sprocket is equivalent to 15T-46. Now thinking of changing the rear sprocket to 45T. I think this will give the best combination for my Raider.

how much is genuine Suzuki relay in setia tropika ?

 

I have never changed mine but wonder when it will get spoilt

how to know it is spoilt ?

I think Suzuki Tropika will be cheaper. The starter don't work. So you can check by using 2 wires to jump the connections direct. If the starter motor can start then it is the relay problem.

I checked at gh n chong aik both no stock but eversucess quoted me $220 for the whole speedometer with the new 01.i must be carrot face ah...haha

setia don't have our model type. Setia sell more advanced model speedo. we cannot fix it cause of ecu not same

Thank you to gunshead for giving lots of links....interestingly suzuki raider 150 is using CR8E when reading from the manual.......which is also used in gsf400 and gsf650......which is very economical as I do not have to look or buy for other spark plug sizes or types....maybe I will try the iridium CR8EIX in the raider since I have some extras lying around if got any effect.....,....cheers...

1. adjust/tighten handle bar to avoid tuck tuck noise hit bonggol. After tightening it feels so good.

 

2. checked swingarm - ok

 

3. checked all cables in right position - ok

 

4. change cable throttle. First time doing since year Feb 2006 bought bike. Used original Raider R length = short.
