hello everybody...

i am new to cls 2 bikes...

i am interested in getting a blackbird, 2nd hand prefer....

so can share some tips when getting a blackbird???

and how will it cost me for blackbird insurance at my age 20??

I guess with ur age should be around $600++ - $700++ depend on whether u have NCD. coz I just got my BB last week from shop and they say should be around that price. :bouncefire: :bouncefire: :bouncefire:

Actually i was looking for BB carb model. I've went to bout 20 shops and all of them selling FI model. Mine is yr '98. should be the last batch of carb model i guess. Btw the insurance that I was talking about is NTUC not mitsui. I've got it @$450++ (incl of NCD and I'm over 31yrs). Bought the bike at $8000 OTR incl of 10 yrs COE from shop.

Yupz really enjoying the bike now coz its been my dream bike since i obtain my 2B. But just like the other BB forumers advise me: dun speed in s'pore roads (if u wanna test ur bike, try neighbouring country), value ur licence and (this is from me) this machine can kill. SO RIDE SAFELY.

just for info... i bought my BB'06 last year near end of april, my insurance is Mitsui, first hand bike but 3rd party fire n theft insurance, my policy stated near $2.6K... btw my bday is in june'81, got my cls 2 in dec'05, 2nd rider bday is in aug'79...

 

insurance was included in my bike's price then so i din complain much abt dat price...

last yr... i was quotated @ 1.8k for 3rd party F&T... by AIG.. NTUC gave mi @ 1.3K.... (21-25 capping)

Hi

If anyone's selling their birds, pls PM me.

 

I prefer black or silver birds with original paintwork, and that the bike is in good condition (never accident or dropped at speed before) and has been well maintained.

 

Prefer totally stock bike, but minor external mods like windshield, seats, etc. are ok. No Power Commander (messing with the ECM) type mods. Prefer stock exhaust system too.

 

Must have absolutely no mechanical, fuel or electrical problems (excluding normal wear & tear parts like battery) as I'd like to take the bike for long distance touring.

 

Prefer 2001 birds but will consider 2000 and 2002 birds too. Mainly because of budget.

 

I will pay cash, so the sale will be quick and painless for the seller. No need to look for re-financing, backing out because of loan issues etc. Once we agree on the sale, I'll place a deposit, then go buy insurance, and once that's covered we can go down to ROV (or I go down myself) to do the transfer.

Why you wanna sell? You bought first hand right? Wasted lah.

 

06'BB is beyond my budget I'm afraid. I can only afford 00 - 02 BB the most.

 

Want to share or not? I help you pay installment...:D

to ease ur curiousity, i've nv been to jb ever since i bought this first hand BB... been to jb with e previous 2nd hand BB... first hand bike dun dare to go in...

BB guys, need to check on the consumption of my birdie. How many km can BB full tank go? Coz I tried mine and the milage shown is bout 200 - 215km oni. Is that true? mayb bcoz I just got my bike and u noe lah, sometimes got too excited, whack the bike like there's no tomoro but dun wori guys, still taking in all the advise - no speeding in s'pore roads.:bouncefire: :bouncefire: :bouncefire:
