Thx guys for the advice regarding my 25 blink problem.. Gez i wud change d ks first in tat case.. Btw isit normal for bb temperature reading to go as higher than half of the metre gauge? Tiz only happen wen riding in d day plus lots of trafic light.. And even wen my fan is on, d temp will stl keep rising when its idling... Anw any bb riders lepak session tonight??

Fi engines tend to run abit hotter compare to carb engines..its normal as long as it does't touch the red zone even when your cruising in the streets..

ya..when riding,temperature will drop drastically even though it was high when stationary..so its normal for fi bb engine to get hotter while leaving it idling stationary? Because im afraid the heat would cause damage to my bike. so meaning even when the fan is on,it unable to maintain the temparature when its not crusing..so thats normal isit? sorry...not really used to this kinda heat on a bike.. haha

Just went to Republic motor...to enquiry about selling my bike to them.

They taking in the bike 7.5k to 8k. Wat do u think of the price?

By the way my bike is 2005 FI cbr1100xx super blackbird.

 

Sadly this bike have to go soon.

 

Maybe u wanna try asking other shops?but i think 8k is reasonable uh due to the fact tat ur coe ends in 2015 right?i bought my bb last yr for $7+k . Its a 99 bb with renewed coe till 2019,stock condition.

So 8k for a 2+yr coe is quite reasonable i guess.but definately they'll resell ur bike @ $11-12k with renewed coe not inclusive of their agreement fee & interest of 5-8%/yr...

Oh.. Ur bb is d newer model izzit? Mine is 00 model so it doesnt indicate the exact temp... Its just a temp gauge... Tats y im nt sure wat is my exact temp..bt wat i know is, it doesnt touch d redline... But its damn freaking hot !

Drago & greysnail: mine the highest reached 104, the fan then maintain the temp at 104 even in the hot day during stationary. when minimum cruising hit 75kmh & above, temp will drop ard 10deg.. the lowest temp during night & cold weather is 79-82 when cruising..

I also had this heat issue I use engine ice and buy bagster tank bra at motor world. Seems Abit not hot when gripping the tank. Make sure at 103/104 temp the fan spin for fi bb.

I'm still getting use to the bike my palm n wrist still hurt when riding long distance. Not sure I think I nvr ride sport bike before my ride all the while is road bike. I'm Still learning to corner the bike. Don't know why, my M5 Tyre sucks the rear Tyre seems to swift while conering left/right.

Tyre pressure is important if u wanna play corner,i pump 42 psi front and back

For comfort riding, get bigger handgrip and tuck in ur elbow while riding u wont feel tired that way

Yup u need to remove the sproket cover so u'll need the access.....u can use any industrial grease or.......KY...

Remove fairing depends if u have the right tools. As for me i just remove the fairing screw and pull the fairing out abit so that i can get my Size 8 T spanner to reach the 3 harem screw(3 bolt at the clutch cylinder beside the front spocket). As for grease im using a putoline white water proof grease(buy at LAB LONG TIME AGO) you also try the heavy duty grease can get at hardware store.

Any recommed tyre old bb bro. Should i take mid compound only or mix mid and soft. I try soft compound pilot sport 6 mth botak already. So soft compound only make my pocket burn but gripping was wonderful conering with smiling.

 

Talk about burn today my right leg got burn by the bb excaust pipe while reversing, nw leave one birtmark on my leg. Careful guyS no joking it really HOT.

Juz browse in the sales garage for 2 nd hand tires, soft compound if for track bro, go for med compound or hard centre med side, Z8 is fd but im sticking with Pirelli Diablos
