have any of the guys strip down their runner SP engine,full engine servicing..?

how much did it cost ya??

or did something as close to this??

how is the engine so far??

 

the SP from FORK..must change whole thing..or other alternatives??

 

 

As wat Baabaa had say...when u strip ur bike into pieces, the mech will be able to access n c mose of the parts condition.

 

Fork change vxr fork will be a better option.

 

when u open up engine, remember all seals, o-rings, bearings had to be change, block had to be clean up, piston rings had to be change, n also check ur crankshaft...once done it gonna be powerful n last u quite awhile...if can change everything new even better...

 

Prepare at least 1k or more for a really gd proper job...overhual rates varis form shop to shop..important point is wat parts hav u change at the end of the day dat matters

is it just me.........or is everyone still getting used to the new layout.i find it hard to digest leh .... like harder to read ...hhmm maybe need more time.

Gay up a bike and u get a Fino.Crash a Gilera and u get the ST200.

anyone can give any commets on Boost bottle

 

helps in ur low end n mid range...do a search on the internet to understand more n who invented this lah...all I can say is u must hav a proper carb tunning to make it work to itz max n not any bottle can be used...

 

most highly tune carb bikes hardly uses a boost bottle due to the fact dat it makes switching setups now n then difficult..itz gd for a low to mid range beefed up ride

i wil be takin off my p plate in august.. jus wan ask .. shud i get a gilera or upgrade?? d thing is i really love d new gilera.. but since u all ride one.. jus wan ask is it worth it to ride it?? wats d price of a 1st hand gilera nw?

 

since u say u love it.... then get it! its a fun ride no doubt.

 

if u really get it ...

careful when u take corners... stock tyre not good leh.

cover ur bike when parking at open carpark. the fuel cap ar... hiyah!

adjust ur front headlight... aim too high lah,might offend some ppl.

dun park with sidestand coz its auto retractable, a slight nudge will send ur bike on the floor on its side.

is it the power booster that is selling in kallang shops.i tot of changing it... now have to tink ten times whether its worth the money

YAMAHA ENERGY INDUCTION SYSTEM (Y.E.I.S, "Boostbottle")

 

Y.E.I.S is a very efficient invention. A small bottle ,often called "boostbottle", is installed between the carb and the intake port connected with a branch pipe to get the engine to respond quickly from bottom end without flat spots.

It saves 10-15% in gas consumption and makes the engine wake up at lower rpm.

 

Like many of Yamaha's inventions. When it first came out there were many doubters. Just as they doubted the wisdom of a separate oil pump and the 7th port. Or Torque Induction. But if done properly this does work.

The following diagram shows a typical Y.E.I.S setup. The most common mistake people make is not getting the size right and using a common bottle for two cylinders and failing to make sure that the bottle drains back without collecting fuel.

 

Since Carburators can carburate both in and out, when the charge is out of phase with the engine it creates a double dipping intake charge (passing the jets twice). This kills the engines ability to make Torque due to this RICH condition, thus creating the Torq\HP DIP just before the engine starts to take in the charge and use it all. This Power dip can be seen in both 2 and 4 stroke engines. The ~BOOST~ Bottle will help cure the problem by providing a storage tank, of the required volume and distance to resonate at this RPM. It stores the charge that once reversed back through the carb and returned as a DOUBLE RICH condition.

yo bro..u might want to change ur carb main jet??..after all these mod..if the mech change u a smaller main jet..u might get those jerking ..stall..etc prob when acclerating at 90-100km...if u install air booster..might check the jet too...

 

 

 

 

if i have an open pod and lv pipe...is it still ok if i run rich and change to a 12.5 rollers and go for top end?..or is an open pod,lite rollers and lv pipe set up just good for acceleration?....i currently have that set up but if i ride long on expressways..esp if my fuel is around half...my bike will stall...how ???

:help: hey guys, i keep having tis vapourise moist in my speedometer, n tis is the second meter i changed at psc.if tis is a common problem, then y does psc doenst do anitin to feedback to hq on the other side? i wonder wat cud be done if i wan to diy to solve tis matter.

#open the meter to wipe, done

#open, wipe and blow dry, done

#open, wipe, blow dry, closed and silicon the gap, done

#open, wipe, blow dry, silicate gel inserted, silicon the gap, done

#changed not once but twice at psc, done

#next week changed to a new one...

BUT wat if it happens again... quiet pissed oedi, the moist would be all over and at times my lcd is totally blank and got one time the lcd is like the matrix effect where the lcd kept going hairwire from bottom up..

any wiseman out there who have encoutered tis problem and solve it...:help: :help: :help:

Donkey years ago when I try dat bottle ppl dun even bother to take a 2nd look or even ask wat the hell it is..wonder wat is the sudden interest :lol:

 

Juz find it funny y ppl nowadays forgot all the rest of the more useful performace parts n chooses all these funny add-ons

Because boost bottles like those koso ones are packaged to look like bling accessories liao. Look at the malossi variable one. who the hell would thinkl that it will complement the look of his bike? :D
