Hey, i need help or i can said i want to ask you guys here an opinion. I now riding Gilera FXR the old and first version of Gilera and i thought of letting it off and buying a new bike. nope 24km/l is normal as according to the odo we hav...worst case at least 20km/l...

I'm using a TM 24 carb with the correct jet. (Told by mech)

 

How does jet looks like? Do you guys mean jet needle? Or it looks like a nut shape?

 

Its high FC is it due to long distance riding? Eg. 34km per trip non stop?

Nope not inside..n which mech told u itz the correct jet??

All I know is there is a rough guide of jet sizes to start using 1st but each different bike differs so end of the day the overall tuning shld be done by the rider

Previously i was using the stock carb. Then changed to tm carb. But the size of this jet in the tm carb was too big. So he changed a smaller one and the response was better.

 

But i was wondering whether is it the jet needle or etc worn off? How come my FC so screwed? sian x 10

TM24 stock main jet size is 150 if i dun remember wrongly. Fuel consumption will not change much if its tuned properly.

for a TM24 on a 2stroke u hav to play around wif the 4 things to get ur tuning correct..

 

1) Main Jet

2) Pilot jet

3) Neddle position

4) Air / Fuel ratio mixture screw

 

maybe u would like to check n post the 4 settings of ur carb...the carb had been widly use by runner for along time so I guess most mechs shld know the basic setting guides
