1seth1... changed my bl0ck t0 mal0ssi all... den changed tyre(michelin pil0t sp0rt), speed0 meter cable, water pump, t0tal c0st ard 1100... ok n0t...??

When you say change your block, you mean to say you changed to the

Malossi 172 kit izzit? IF it is, its not too bad a price. Tyres back and front?

Of which date? On the shelf for how long already?

i have to disagree on tis ... bcoz i think we are refering to a bigger jettings to accomodate the open pod for the bike NOT to run lean .. so if bigger jets of course mileage will drop .. since more fuel is burn ..

and oso if we take a well tune racing carb, wouldn't it be burning more than a well tuned stock carb .. tio bo, bro?

cheers!

Of course if you compare between a racing carb and a stock carb got a slight difference lah bro. lol..

But if you are talking about tuning between 2 similar carbs, it will depend on how you tune it and your throttle control.

Though you are using more fuel due to the bigger jets, you are taking a lesser

time to get to the desired speed, thus you open the throttle

at a wider position for a shorter time compared to a poorly tuned carb.

thousand apologies... i think i made some mistake in my earlier post

i think last time when i duplicate a set of keys for my runner... it cost me less than $30. & it was thru the bikeshop which i bought my runner from. but mine was the older version of VXR

i have no idea how much it cost for the latest version

the shop next to LAB quote me $60 for duplicating S4 keys

i did not ask him how much it was to make another VXR key

Well I know what you have and you know what I have. I weigh around 70+kg, ride around 60-70 on normal roads and 80-90 on the expressway(why you guys go 80/90 on normal road I have no idea :p) And I NEVER reach 200. Nuff said. Oh and sometimes I have pillion so it must be that.

bro, i weigh much heavier than u and 1/3 of the time i ride with pillion .. and i do reach 200+ km even when i throttle hard. so my guess is ur open pod.. the jets tat they shd have change when u install tat. like wat havoc said( hi bro! long time no see, masih bz ngan werk? hehehe) bigger jets, more fuel intake .. maybe u can try installing ur air box back with original jettings to see the diff? but very unlikely lah.. hahaha

btw wats ur comment on multivar? any?

hmm.

i juz checked today, my full tank excluding reserve is around 249km :D

If you want something, you have to give something in return. So you

have to sacrifice a bit of FC for power right?

Well judging from testing out my friend's Runner(I got my scoot 2nd hand with the Multivar 2000 already installed) and my scoot, it improves your pick up. It actually gives you a jerky feeling when you start pulling the throttle. I don't have the stock air box because the previous owner is kinda dim. :p 180km/pump is ok for me I suppose but the Sunrise website says that the torque driver reduces petrol consumption so I'm tempted to try it out. Why don't you give me a call and maybe you could try my scoot out. Wavilera(one of our members) did say something about my scoot 'feeling a little heavier than his'. I'm not sure myself. I left my number in my previous post.

Considering you're using the 05 Runner of course lah you can reach 250+ without any problems. The 06 version have a smaller tank as compared to the 05 one. Saying that, havoc's 06 Runner can reach 250 with an exhaust pipe and an open pod filter installed.
