Going back to respray that piece during my Semester Holidays. Total spray cost $730 including the Black Plastic part to become "fibreglass" looking. Normally, no one will spray the black plastic part, come off the bike must becareful not to scratch the centre fuel tank part, then when you wash and was your bike ah. Song ah! Even more parts than Sports bike! :cheeky:

But looks so much nicer! :cheeky: I don't mind waxing and washing, its my pride man. But after getting my bike cover stolen and scratched, I've put down the idea for a few days, no mood man. :giddy: But seriously, you'll confirm get stares from other riders (at least from those who love scooter type, don't expect a Hayabusa to look at you).

I'm new to Singapore and thinking of getting a X9 or X8. I'm planning to go down to the Piaggio Service Center to look at them first hand. Someone recommended the X8 for me. And I've tried to find the difference between the X8 and X9 but failed. The only one I've found is in the digital speedometer. What other differences are there between the two?

Thanks!

You won`t be able to get X9 brand new anymore. Only X8

I think I would prefer to get a 'lightly' used (

Also, I've tried going to the Piaggio Service Center on Saturday and today but it was closed both times. Does anyone know the phone number of it? Is there another dealer I can go to? It's a bit frustrating to go to the PSC and find it closed all the time.

Thanks.

The diff is the outlook and the boot(able to open from back of the bike.) X9 come with a default box.(which you don`t need to worry about storage) X9 have LCD on the handle bar to moniter the distance you have travel before you need to pump petrol

X9 slightly longer, i.e. leg can stretch a bit further. Nice box.

If can, get the EVO version becos the front is nicer, with signal light integrated to the rear view mirrors.

Don't think there's much diff in performance of X9 and X8.

Thanks for the advice!

Is there somewhere else that sells the X8? I work during the week days so it is difficult to go to PSC if they do not work weekends.

I got my X9 second about 2 weeks ago (previous owner was a good friend of mine). Had to put 331 SGD in new battery, engine checks, new mirrors, inspection, road tax late fee and transfer (ouch!).

And now you know what yesterday just after a long day at my office. Go back to my bike, turn the contact key on, push the start button... and... nothing! NO START!!! Heck?

Any idea? Is it frequent issue? The scoot just stayed 10 hours in the street under a sunny day... The battery looks OK (all lights working well)...

Why this ****ing bike not starting?

No cranking sound. All lights OK (headlamp and brake). Battery is brand new (two weeks).

Just one little clic coming from under the seat... but no cranking.

Bike is at the shop... :(

How much for new coil or new starter?

Cheers,

Alex

I dun think is the coil. Maybe is the cut off switch or maybe the side stand sensor. Try again.

I just got my bike this afternoon........

First problem come:sian:

both first signal fail me when on the way back.

After checking both side connecter Very loose. so just cable tie first. and it work.

hi "soundless";

sorry to cut into this thread, do u think it is electrical related? it is similar to previous problem of mine, the igniton switch. got it replaced and it roars now.

by the X9 way, problem comes one after another, where the likely caused of headlight not firing? the high beam works fine and fuses on the left & rear check, seemed ok.

what's next?

This is not a problem of X9. It a wear and tear item. just like tyre. Every car/bike bulb will blown one day, be it brake light or head lamp or signal.

This is not considered a problem. Its too minor to be counted as one! ;)

Btw, what's your X9 model, I can help you check out. If its H4, I've got the Bulb, because I bought wrongly, mine's H7.

Where do you all mount the IU unit? mine was like double tape on top of the speedo meter. Saw some without IU(hid inside the faring), some mounted on the handle bar. some on the windscreen. My IU like wobber when moving, so was thinking of relocated the IU.
