Dear seniors,

I am a brand spanking new rider and am looking for my 1st bike :cheeky:. I am looking for a brandnew bike as i have heard some advice from one of my rider frens. As of now, i am looking at these 3 bikes. From what i have researched, these are my following information that i gathered, please let me know if i am right.

Some important background and criteria:

1) I am planning to ride my new bike for about 2-4 years until i get my Cl 2.

2) Looking for a safer bike (e.g. larger presence on the road, more stability, power to get out of trouble, good braking power)

3) Of course head-turner factor is very much welcome :p

4) A bike suitable for noobs like me

As such here is my brief summary of YZF R125:

expensive (13k OTR right?), headturner, good maintenance, good fc, good reliability

Question for this bike: how is braking power? acceleration to get out of trouble? riding comfort? stable?

Daelim Roadwin R125:

cheaper (4-5k than YZF), looks ok nia, stable, good fc, heard acceleration slow

Question: braking power? i also heard should change wheels to bridgestone 090 as stock wheels not so good. how about maintenance and reliability? Korean brand ok mah?

Hyosung GTR125:

no known price, looks as good as YZF, think is the biggest so most stable?

Question: braking power? how is the wheels, skid prone? have to change wheels? basically i have not much knowledge of this bike...more info needed.

I hope to have some advice from you seniors, especially since you all have massive riding experience and i am sure some of you have heard of or even ridden these bikes. Please share :thumb:

THANK YOU very much!! ARIGATO!

Well I'm using roadwin r 125 very good fc plus it's a four stroke bike. Easier to take care. Braking and stability so far so good for me. Yup the tyres not good. Need to change, I'm gonna do that soon. Well maintenance is covered for me for 2 years so don't need to worry much. The reliability is good. So far didn't break down on me.

For yamaha I heard it's not bad. But the parts for the repairs are very expensive and you need to wait about 2 to 3 months just for the parts to come in. so I gave up researching about the other stuffs.

The last bike. Didn't researched at all about it. Lols.

Just my 2 cents :)

Hi bro..get R125. Its sporty, big in size, good braking power, its a gp replica bike, lots of hidden power waiting to be unleashed, good fuel comsumption and a head turner due to its beautiful shape. abt the parts, dont worry,u dont have to wait for months to get it cos its now available at most bike shops already..im a R15 rider and Yamaha spare parts are plenty!!

Hi dcbomb88, i called the shops liao..Hyosung dun have leh. You were right. Looks like no one bring in hyosung these days.

Iceimmortal, thanks for you input on the Roadwin, i been reading the daelim thread, stsoh and you have so much experience, really can learn alot from you all. Hope to see you on the road! :) I am currently leaning towards the Yammie for now, but i am bout 167-168 in height? i am concern the yammie is too high. I will try to sit on one before i buy.

At Ice, yea man..looks a sweet bike, super chio. hahaa..abit ex tho. Bo bian, chio usually must spend more haha.

One thing i really love bout riding is that most of the riders do care for one another and have respect. Riders must look after one another. I got my class 3 and been driving for almost 10 years liao. Parents not keen on my passion for riding, now after learning bike, i really give alot of "cushion" and way to riders. Not that i didnt give way to riders before la...now same "kaki" must take care more haha. Ride safe bros!
