I want to do some thing like the above for my bike. Anyone knows which shop or someone that can do it??? These LED are fix into the rims and powered by the bike battery. They lights up even during the wheels in motion.

I am not interested in the crappy install of those that fix below the mud-guard type which is commonly done.

Solid for north south highway touring. But no go for Singapore. Singapore is way to strict. You do this. You will be stopped by every TP and Lta that you encountered on the road.

Man this would be so cool if it was legal....

I know of such LED in Thailand, you can get those that DON'T NEED batteries. :)

They run by a tiny fan which powers a dynamo in the LED, fix it to your wheels and when the wheels spins, the wind spins the tiny fan and charges the dynamo and Viola! LED without batteries!

Thanks guys for the response....

Firstly I know it's illegal even in the States it's illegal.

But I will intend to also fix an On/Off switch for it.

Silent Hunter: The one that you mention I have saw it already... no lights unless the wheel is in motion.. and it will look ugly on the rims.

LTC : Thanks but no thanks... Those are not good enuff. will needs to be in motion too... it wont be bright... Crap if you ask me(Not trying to be rude here but that is what I think)...

Not easy to do. In order to have power, you need to have either a built in dynamo at the wheel hub or have a wire connected from your power source to the LED through the axle and hub. Meaning you will have to modified your existing hub and axle and maybe some other parts in order for the wire not to self tangle when the wheels rotate. Too much hassle I must say. That why these wheels are sold as a set, not just the LED kit itself.

yo bro shawn,

I seen it before as long.. a couple of years back ago.. you have to mod your hub and wheeles for the wires to go thru like what kinwei mentioned..

and the wheels are "transparent" if i didn't recall wrongly.. :)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...
