Hi all, I'm looking to buy my first bike, it's either the yamaha r15 or honda cbr 150. I don't know what I'm supposed to look at so I might need details of the bike specs and a little information of stuff such as the price, maintenance, the fuel consumtion etc?

I'm 26, I get my licence few year ago and i ride honda NSR 150 before. My budget is less than $10,000 inclusive of tax and all. I don't know how high the seat is, but I'm 178cm and weight 66kg.

i don't know wheather they sell cbr 150 at brand new rite now, but according to my frens, both bikes r easy to maintain and their fuel consumption is quite gd.. a 1st hand r15 at the yamaha dealer costs $8600 with everything included except insurance.. i rather get the fz16..but tats my personel opinion though...cheers with ur decision.. :)

bro you riding a r15 too? you got try the top speed how fast can go? overall is it good?

Hi bro,

Yes! Im riding the R15 and Im enjoying it.I feel the raw power and stability when I riding it. The top speed can reach more than 146kmph on a 4 stroke 150cc which is already very good and best of all,the Fuel consumption is superb.

true, but for 2B bike, i wont spend 10,000$...

and since your concern is for transport and maintenance, get CBF or YBR, which are more economical sense.

or get good old honda wave... perfect for transport and no need to speed, good fuel consumption, cheapest maintenance.

why not take a look at daelim roadwinR 125????

it's within ur budget.

it's bigger than those two.

it's suitable for ur height.

park next to yzf-r6, easily mistook it as r6.

but it's only a 125cc water-cool efi 4-valves 4-strokes engine.

hey guys, what is the different between yamaha R15 and R125?

just do a search R125 looks like R6 and cost 15K OTR, too overprice IMO. if u dont mind paying that much then go ahead

Posted

yeah it is...and its also a 125cc 4-stroke bike which means its diffenitly not worth it not to mention it can be very underpowered wen u have a pillion on as well..

CBR150 has 2 camshafts.... 1 more than an r15

CBR150 uses a flat side carburretor... R15 runs by Fuel injection

Both bikes are quick and nimble.. But i prefer old technology and made in Thailand relaibility

xxxratedxxx: sry ar i abit don understand wat you mean... wat is a camshafts? wat is the different in flat side carburretor and fuel injection? which one better? i noob in bike
