SSDC - Anyone Taking 2B There?

pillion riding was particularly challenging for me cos they always pair similiar size ppl tgt den when i pair my fren, both 70-80+ kg EACH tgt heavier than bike liao. haha... can hear the poor 2b bike screaming :pity: ...

is it when learning 2a den ok le? can tanah this kind of abuse ( weight). hah

 

haha bro imo, though im a newbie, no offence to ssdc bike.

But i personally feel that is because their cg125 is totally ahhbishhhh.

hahhaa, when u get own bike wont have this kind of problem alredi i guess.

one thing about their cg125 is damn irritatin. Which is, you know when 2nd gear, someone of the bike at the speed of 5-10 km/h can move smoothly.

While for some u go at that speed with 2nd gear ur bike will have the **** **** **** **** sound, then ur bike start jerking.

And when ur bike start jerking ur ear drum start bursting ( instructor start screaming =D ).

 

i dunno for others, but this is how i feel.

Heard from my manager that there are gonna be some delays with the building of the New SSDC building. Will be moving sometime in late Aug or Sep.

Let me be honest... Most new riders will not know how to handle a CG125. Even some Revoked licencse holders who start their 2B course also can't control the throttle properly. Why the bike is jerky? Its not the bike problem, Its how you control the throttle and the clutch. Actually these bikes are very nice to handle. Nice to corner with them also.

Anyone going to SSDC today (Saturday)? I will be there for my Class 3 Manual at the 0815, 1030, 1305 and 1520 slots. Basically a full day there, and its 430am and I cant sleep! Anyone can give me a morning call at 715am?

Any bro or corse , could advise on practical L6 (first lesson)

1. Must we always start first lesson with a night training in L6 or

2. we could start 1st lesson with a day training....but as long that there is later night training in L6 would be considered to fulfilll the requirement of compulsory night training for L6 ?

 

Cos all night training all taken up till 2 week later....thanks

lesson six(i) basically just let you have a feel of on the road traffic, some exposure before learning on the actual test route.

 

just need to observe traffic rules on public road riding, lane change, speed regulation and do some uturn.

 

the night riding is just a add on to familiarities riding when its darker. you can always go for day lesson and have this night training later.

 

but somehow you would need to wait for at least a week or so anyway because lesson six(night) quite limited.

Wah! More than 3 months of not riding. Please come back for circuit revision to refresh urself before going for lesson 5.

 

And when u start ur practice, Dont immediately start practicing E/brake.

Do the easy ones 1st. Slope or narrow plank or figure 8.

 

To Everyone out there.

TRY NOT to start of ur practice with the emergency brake as the 1st course.

Especially if the bike was not used at all at the previous session before ur session. Brakes need to be warm up a little before using them effectively. U need to get used to the bike and brakes also. If not the brakes will 'bite' too hard even if u feel u applied them softly. Since the E/brake is the 4th Course of ur test route, make sure u use ur rear brakes especially when u're riding thru test route till the E/brake.

 

Recently, A class 2 Rider started of his practice with E/Brake as his 1st course. The moment he moved out from the building, he turned right towards the E/Brake. He performed his E/brake, skidded and fell badly adn fracture his arm or finger. Not too sure of the details. But he couldn't move and an Ambulance had to drive in all the way to the E/brake area to bring him to the Hospital. Ride Safe.
