changed coil , rectifier, batt ~ still got start problem ~

bike cb400 spec 1

 

now even the headlight got prob , when i start bike there will be no headlight ~ only after i throttle abit than the headlight will on ~

 

and sometimes i cant start bike got cranking sound but bike cannot start ~

check spark plug?

ignition coil faulty?

check starter switch cabling...

can push start in ur 3rd gear?..how abt u check ur fuses...perhaps ur fuses burnt?...fuyooo..change coil not cheap ley....which shop u send to eh ?...jus curious...

spark plug will cause no headlight ? unless i throttle ?

went to planet to change my ignition switch 2weeks ago the boss also no idea where's the prob , but i just found out when ever i cant start the bike , i just need to switch on highbeam than the bike can start -.-ll

sounds like wiring man. my ver s has some problem with the headlight too. 5% of the time, headlight wont turn on with the key unless i start the engine, turn off, turn on/off high beam and start the engine again. but for me, its not a serious problem

changed my lcd and plugs at motorworkz , they help me service my headlight switch and now it seems fine ~ they disassemble the whole swltch and sandpaper the contacts xD

u mean change lcd ? about 1hr i think

 

 

my prob still there -.- ytd bike cannot start again , so i called tow car , when tow car reached the bike can start =____=

 

than i ride to planet, the boss take out my cdi spray some wd40 ~ he say if still cannot, he reccomend me to change the coil at the left side of the bike ~ dunno wat coil is that ^^ll

That is the magnetic coil. It is to generate the electricity power for the bike.

i just wish u good luck,been riding for 3yers..wana change bike but scared got a problematic bike since ma current bike no problem at all...brrr scary..

You can try look at starter relay or the starter carbon brush.

You can try look at starter relay or the starter carbon brush.

 

relay of carbon can cause random start prob ? cos i ask some say if its starter carbon wont be cannot start rest for a day can start again >.

have check all the fuses in the fuses box ~

at 1st i sent to a bike shop which i have been visiting for the pass 7yrs at amk int park but after changing coil + rect + battx2 still cannot fix the prob

 

i went to motorworkz (they recommend me to rewire)

planet recommend me to change the another coil @ the left side of the bike which i dunno wat coil is that ~

If you still can push start, it might be the carbon brush or starter relay. From my past experience, worn or spoilt carbon brush and relay will give intermittent starting problem until it is fully spoilt. I might be wrong too.

 

The coil is usually at the left side of most bike. Right side is the clutch.
