there a 3 modes for me :)

MODE 1: Glamour Mode (meetups and outings)

A sling bag at most to hold the Rain Coat.

Helmet always hand carry.

MODE 2: Regular Work Transport

Just gotten a tank bag from @edwinling to hold rain coat and bike cover.

Add on a Oakley backpack or Messenger Bag for the essential work items

So when i reach workplace i will throw my jacket over the bike and lock the helmet together with the tank bag. Plus put on the cover nice nice to prevent rain drops(if any) to seep into the bike and rusting any components.

MODE 2A: Lite and Easy Work Transport

Just a backpack+raincoat inside. Reach destination can squeeze jacket into backpack and jalan jalan.

MODE 3: Overseas Touring

dump all riding gear into 80l Pacsafe bag, chain to bike and walk free and easy

Hi hi, got my duke 200 today. Saw a fellow duker on the PIE, so friendly, wave to me.

Didn't really enjoy the first ride maybe due to the traffic condtion and afraid to trash the bike too hard. Painful backside cos the seat is soooo hard and the bike is sooooo high.

Duke 200 is better as its got more torque and hp. Likely to be license unsafe also.

Good bike to last till class 2 imo

licence unsafe? wat about the physical aspect of it? exactly the same as duke 125?

The 125, 200 and the upcoming Class 2A Duke (launching date should be in early/mid 2013) all share the same chassis (frame, tank, forks, swingarm, etc).

Class 2A Duke sharing with them is just a guesstimation (maybe the seat and rear cowl might be more towards the Duke 690?).

But for sure the 125 and 200 share the same rolling gears and trellis frame.

Hope this helps.

tanks guys for info :),senna u noe hw many cc is the 2a duke?tink might as well wait for 2a duke since 125 n 200 not realy much of a difference.... cant wait ;)

You're very much welcomed.

Official news from KTM's CEO as well as information gleaned from their leak of their product meeting points towards a Duke 350.

There is also news that Bajaj is developing a 375 c.c. engine and we all know that the Duke 125 and 200 were co-developed between Bajaj and KTM.

So, it may turn out to be a Duke 375.

There are some rumours that Bajaj and KTM are researching on combining 2 of the 200's engines into 1, resulting in a 400 V-Twin.

How true, I dunno but according to the dates (1st and 2nd April 2012) that this news was released, it could well just have been an April's Fool joke.

So, we can safely conclude that the Class 2A Duke will be between 350 to 400. LOL!

Wait till end of the year for more information to be released.

That makes the wait more exciting and interesting and getting you all hyped-up with anticipation.

Cheers!

First sentence refers to Duke 200, second sentence also refers to Duke 200.

So, Duke 200 = Duke 200? LOL!

I think you're referring to the Duke 125 in your second sentence. Hee!

Cheers!

fuel economy is super in my 125, easily 30km/l on hardcore rides to 50km/l if u ride relax.... Duke 200 also not so far off. Go for a test ride... and feel for yourself how easy it is to ride

Btw i would like to ask fellow ktm duke 200 riders, does the temperature of your engine goes up very high after riding for about 20mins? esp in areas where there is alot of traffic light? would switching to the Engine ice coolant solve this?

engine ice coolant doesn't bring down the temperature. it helps to maintain its performing temperature at a certain level. actually its more for country where the weather are at lowest degree Celsius.

DirtWheel is the official distributorship of KTM bikes.

Machine price is S$10,500.

Do factor in the admin fee, your insurance, road tax, etc and basically, you're looking at a range of S$12,000+ (if you're having 50% NCD or are older of age) to S$13,000+ to even S$14,000+ (if low NCD or young in age).
