ANyone into cooking as hooby ?

 

I do enjoy cooking time to time. Eso nowadays after get back to home cant fall aslep .

 

I tried my virgin Chilli Crab. Its amazing easy i find. he2.

 

Anything more with crab ?

I cook time to time when some ingrediants come into my eyes.

 

Next.. thiking about some hot Mango bla bla salad.

Must make use of unripped mango that my gf dad bought/pick/steal from.

 

any reco?

Try my own tortilla dip. Taste better for alchoholic ppl.

 

One jar of salsa+ some sized stick of Velveeta/pasta/spag- crack it

One can of cream of mushroom soup ()

One can of beer(any beer. for me its carls/killkenny)

 

Mix all the ingredients into in a round pot. BEWARE as this mixture will look like a vomit esp the beer adding part. Heat and stir it for 5 mins. stir till the dip look tickened .

 

The beer is not optional. It tastes good with beer. But when it come to taste someone can sacrifice the pungent smell of beer. he2

 

Next.. head down to nearest mart and buy some TORTILLA chips.

Enjoy this with a mug of killkenny while doing anything in front of TV.

 

 

please feedback once u tried.

me cook spag bolognaise and other variations, all al dente, curry chicken, etc etc~

yah i love 2 cook 2 ;) long time nber do my kfc special liao :p.

 

1 simple and easy breakfast meal

 

1)1 piece of bread

2) put cheese on bread

3)put abit of tomato sauce on cheese

4)put abit of those cooked mashed mutton bits(like the meat used in bar chor mee kind, u usually eat these when u hav mee goreng etc... small brown mutton pieces)

5)bake the bread and enjoy ;)

Chicken wing

 

Method :

 

1) Mix pepper, sugar and light soya sauce in a bowl ( A )

2) Marinade chicken wing with A in a bowl

3) Pour oil in wok for deep frying

4) put chicken 2 be deep frying

5) Cook chicken wing until it turn dark brown

6) Take chicken wing out of wok

7) Put chicken wing on a plate

8) Ready to be served !!

Crab Meat Sandwich

 

1) Chop 2-5 crab meat stick into small pieces

2) Put crab meat, black pepper and white mayonise in blender mixer ( food blender )

3) Blend crab meat, black pepper and mayonise ( A )

4) Spread A on bread

5) Ready to be served

 

Spagetti with mushroom soup

 

1) Pour water in a iron wok

2) Put a few stick of spagetti in

3) Boil water in wok

4) Leave it for a few mins and check whether it is cooked or not ?

5) If yes cooked, drain the spagetti

6) Cool spagetti with tap water

7) Put aside to be cooled

8) For the soup, open the can of mushroom with seafood clam ( Can be bought at any supermarket )

9) Finish the can

10) Fill the water in 1 can

11) Pour the water from the can to wok

12) Start to boil again

13) Then put spagetti together with soup

14) Cook it until it become very hot

15) Ready to be served

My favour cooking dish is chilli crab, i do cook at home sometimes. Desserts is my favour too.

Hmm Chilli Crab.

 

The ingridients that makes that taste better is the

 

1. Soya Bean Paste- black Colour.

2. Proper mixture of chilli garlic onion , light soya and vinegar.

Thats for Soup dishes.

 

Try to Deep fry ANYTHING with Tempura flour. Taste Good too.

Some less oily dishes for ya. Both Hong Kong favorite dishes.

 

Steamed ribs (with preserved black beans and chilli)

Ingredients:

1. Pork ribs (small pieces) - 100g per pax

2. Garlic - 1 mashed

3. Preserved Black Beans - 5-10

4. Sugar

5. Salt

6. MSG (optional)

7. Starch (important)

Methodology (for 2 pax):

1. Fry mashed garlic and preserved beans with slight excess of oil until golden

2. Drain ribs of any fluid

3. Mix ribs with [1], half teaspoon of sugar, one-third teaspoon of salt, one tablespoon of starch and a few crystals of MSG, and sliced chilli

4. Steam over boiling water for 12 minutes

4a. Make sure heat is set to maximum and never open the pot/wok cover

 

Watercress and ribs soup

Ingredients:

1. Large pork ribs (specify for soup when buying from market) - 100g per pax

2. Watercress - 100g per pax

3. Almond - 4-6 halves

4. Red Dates - 1

5. Ginger - 1-2 slice

Methodology (for 2 pax):

1. Remove roots from watercress

2. Boil watercress for 2 minutes, then wash

3. Boil ribs for 2 minutes, then wash

4. Put ribs and ginger in excess boiling water and keep boiling for 15 minutes with max heat

4a. The amount of water should be double to triple the amount of soup desired

5. Add watercress, almond, date and bring to slow boil for 90 minutes

5a. Use low-medium heat and keep pot covered

6. Add salt to taste

seriously, i like cooking shows, sure looks easy enuff on tv, bt when i try it myself, i realise "ta-bao" is a better option for me.

i still learning how to cook chilli crab... :giddy:

when im not working,i will cook dinner for my family. normal family dishes, vegetables la,fried onion tomato egg, indian curry chicken, spicy pork...ermmm........im bad with soup..... anibody noes how to cook nice soup?? can share?? thanks!

u can buy ready packet mixes and buy the ingredients hehe...someday come and my hse and cook for me leh :cheeky:

Start with simpler soups lah, like peanut pork rib or lotus root soup lah. Can't go very far wrong

recent weeks got a lot of crab promotions:

carrefour -- 7 for $7.90

giant -- 4 for $7.90

shop & save -- 4 for $7.90

 

the crabs are not very big but tase good enough.

did a few variations - steam crab with rice wine, black pepper crab, crab porridge & crab meat fried rice.

want soups recipes..

 

try potato soup..

tomato soup..

minestrone soup..

split pea soup....

 

boil potatoes in chix stock... almost cook(al-dante), take out and leave aside. take all tatoes and you use a wok and fry some onions, celery and leek.. add tatoes and the left over chix stock, add seasonings(pepper,chix powder,salt and bayleaf).

After everything is cooked, blend half of the product in a blender. The puree of poatoes will be added with the other half of potatoes soup... mix well... taste... and there you go... :goodluck:

Single light cream is the type of cream most commonly used for cooking. However, this type of cream should not be boiled as it will curdle. Also, always add hot liquids to the cream rather than the cream to the liquids, in order to avoid curdling. Single(light) cream has an 18 percent fat content.
