LTA on Harley Davidson Exhaust

So what is our beloved HD Dealership doing? They should have been working with the relevant agency to get our pipes LTA Approved long ago.

IF a sports bike rider could enjoy LTA approved exhaust why not us? With so many Harley bikers involvement in Charity rides and government link events, there are no leniency shown to us? It makes me wonder......

My friend riding a Sportster (Nightster) 1200 got stopped this morning at around 7+ along Lornie Road...

Finally after 15 years of riding with real Harley pipes I changed it to the sewing machine pipes. Too stressful to be looking over my shoulders everytime. Most Harley owners buy it because of the sound. Once you change the stock pipes you are in the radar of LTA. So potential Harley buyers, think carefully if you want to ride a silent bike or risk getting caught. I think it's not worth it.

Agree, I just swapped back my stock pipes yesterday and installed a baffle inside to lower the db, keeping my fingers crossed. Not sure if we need so many enforcers on the road, do hope they make our roads safer and not bring undue stress to road users, There are cars getting stopped for Paper work on exhaust, engine and anything not oem. It's a pita to use the roads these days, jams everywhere with drivers getting more stressed and aggressive on roads.

U got that right man. Hopefully traffics gonna b better next year when Coe becomes absolutely insane...cause after changing to stock pipes I do realize cars don't hear me anymore n most drivers don't check their blind spot... No sound no visual...cut.

I think it's their job to ensure what the law issue is what they see on the road bah... hahaha.

Maybe can ask LTA to do up decal Cert or sticker (Water Proof) so can paste on bike or car

I believe there was an operation last fri at Peterson road area where there is a tp who had stopped any hd bike and loud exhaust cars for certification. I was there running some errands and the tp was there from 6pm booking some cars and when I went back at 9pm, he was still there checking a Ducati at 9pm. Numerous victims on that day I guess. What was the tp thinking, not stopping porsche or Mesarati, but Ducati and civics which sound much softer than those luxurious cars.

 

Spoiling the mood of many during festive seasons! Crap.....

there be some that just have to get a aftermarket even if it just 2 decibel louder than the OEM and insist that it sounded better, performance better and worth the $$
