Metzeler.

Bridgestone good, but they are known for softer compound, better grip but also wear faster.

Metzeler M5 is a single compound tyre. The Interact technology supposedly uses a varied tension under the tyre to achieve harder tension on the centre for long lasting wear, softer tension beside the center for cornering and hard tension on the extreme zones on the edge for more support at full lean. P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

any brand will suffice for daily riding.

do not read overseas forum cos they do 85% track

& 15% being towed on the back of pickups!!

locally, most ppl go for branding like its a status thingy but

only a handful will push the tires to its capacity.

see the z, x ratings and you'll have a fair idea of

what i'm talking about.

compound wise.. c'mon if higher percentage h'way riding

then get a harder compound type.. let's be real, how many

corners do you take per day?????

bloody overkill if anyone goes for the "stickiest / tackiest" tires

when the required tire warming hasn't even commenced!!

it really boils down to the rider (proper tire warming etc), little to do with tires

i read overseas forum review of tyre with a pinch of salt as well.. read that ABC damn good, they bring it to track or mountaing roads for a ride and it grips damn well. i used the ABC tyre, wah lau dont talk about track, normal commute also dun give me the confidence already, how to bring to track.

since then, i just stick to my favourite tyre, or friends recommend the tyre i might use.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Hehe... Just typing what my mech told me... Bloody hell always joke around with me... Now make me look like an idiot because I thought what he said was true... -.- but really metzeler grips real good even on rainy days... Even when I skidded a little on the white lines on rainy days, it grips the road as soon as its off the white paint... Michelin I don't dare use already... White line it skids even when it's dry... -.- Pirelli got no money buy... Lol

IMHO.. after a full season of racing and track testing last year.. have come to the conclusion that the best tyres for the following bikes are as follows...

KR150 (Class 2B) - Bridgestone Battlax 39 SS.

DRZ400SM (Class 2A) - Michelin Pilot Power or Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa

CBR600RR (Class 2) - Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa

PS - Good tyres don't last long. Its the softness of the compound that affects the grip in the wet.... not the size or number of grooves.
