Why we BIKERS SHUD help one another..

was going home when i saw the accident, helped the young guy up and called the TP and amb down, what frustrated me was the driver was telling the guy "u going too fast"

 

my initial observation was that it was the drivers fault as he did not stop at the stop line and hence hit the rider, when the TP arrived the question posted to the driver was "Minor to major WHO has the right of way?"

 

sure left the driver dumbfounded. Glad to know that the rider is recovering from his fractured wrist well,

 

 

What saddens me was all the riders riding past didnt bother stopping to help, sad....

 

My plea is to all the riders please lend a hand when u see someone who needs it cause karma is a wheel, you never know when u will need help.

It is really nice of you to help out. Sometimes people who ride past or drive past did consider to help but once the accident site went pass their view, they cant really stop and thus they just move on.

 

I once help out in a bike incident.....it certainly feels good when you help the victim and knowing that the victim is alright after the incident.

All i wanted to do was ensure the rider was safe and if there is any serious injury, texted him an hour ago to check on him and he's recovering well.

 

oh and the sad part was he just passed in june so he was relatively new to the roads.

One of the excuses given everytime...putting the blame to the rider, accusing him of going too fast.

 

Drivers nowadays when driving, totally can forget everything around them.

Very true, especially those in luxury cars, sure can go fast2 on straight roads but when u get to the bends why so jittery? lol.

my accident last time, he know he is guilty but he still had to put in " but your speed abit fast also hor"

 

nvm la, as long as rider is recovering. Just worried about the whole TP enforcing right of way thingy cause it gives alot of false security to people riding in major roads. major road - i have right of way - i don't need to care if got cars come out?

yup.. totally agree... i met an accident in 2009... with a taxi driver. It was a straight road new thomson medical center... and there is u-turn point there for car... i was going straight near towards the bus lane... suddenly the taxi jus came out.. all the way u-turn from lane 1 , 2 to the bus lane.. i hit the taxi... den alot of biker help me up with my pillion... all thanks to all the rider.. who ask the taxi drive come down.... jus nice a LTA pass by(he is not the IO incharge) but out of kindness.. he advice me... CALL POLICE!!!! coz i tink i have the right of way....

 

so ending.... the taxi driver got 9 demit points.... ya... so... BIKERS!!! jus do ur part on road safety...

Well with all things, theory is right of way... but in practise is whoever has the biggest vehicle has MORE right of way.
