Hi, would like to enquire if there are suitable models in the class 2 region especially for ladies? As for height, definitely would have to lower the seat since I am on tip-toes for the yamaha fz6 motorbikes at CDC.

Any bikes that is rather easy to handle plus have good storage spaces?

I would think that FZ6 models are fine, but it tends to get a little hot while it is idling.

Please help!

you looking for street bikes i assume?

FZ6 and other >600cc bikes are definity running hot.

Bikes with storage space meaning you will fix a top-box.

Class 2 street bikes fit ur requirements but you have to cut the seat to make the seat height lower.

You can consider the new FZ8 or ducati monster 696.

Yamaha RXZ, Kawasaki ZX KR150, Yamaha Spark135, Honda CB400 REVO NC42, Suzuki DRZ400SMK8, Aprilia RS125, Suzuki GSXR600K9, Honda RS150R

Not necessary, have rode on cruisers before and kind of like it although the last cruiser I tried was a steed and was a little on the heavy side. haha.

Would the FZ8 be cooler?

You can try Gsxr600 or Cbr600, much lighter and nimber than fazer. Usually all bikes in Schs tends to be hotter cos of the frequent "stop and go speed", once you ride outside shd be okay :thumb:

So much choices but CBR600's outlook looks like a sport bike it seems? Am not totally liking the idea of a sports bike; it would be nice to sit comfortably... haha

Hmm I am stuck as I would want to invest in a bike that will stick with me for a very long time - most likely getting it brand new rather than 2nd hand. Best not to make any costly mistakes :p

Would you all be able to help out with the cons / pros of various rides? hehe.

U r looking at CL2 bike and u wanna put side panniers big enough for FF helmets...

And u aren't looking at Sports bike..hmm...

VFR nice sports touring bike.

FZRs also not bad, the 600, 800 & 1000.

BMW GS will last you a long time, but then the height might be a challenge.

Suzuki V-Strom alike to BMW GS.

Actually u really have to look at the characteristics that you want.

Intend to go for long trips?

Ur height and weight?(Well, does not directly reflects on your ability to handle your machine, but then a 150cm dude will have more difficulty handling a goldwing as compared to a 190cm dude.)

Ur preference? Touring bikes?Street/road bikes?Off road etc?

Ur budget?

Hmm. interesting no one mentioned scooters?

Eg, Yamaha Tmax?

You will have storage space, comfort, no heat from engine and reasonable good speed,

I've seen petite ladies riding bikes like the GS1200, R1 etc. It's really depends on getting used to the bike.

Base on your needs:

Comfort and storage space = Sports bike is out.

Don't want too hot = 1000cc and above is out

Most mid cc bikes will be good for you. Don't take the driving center as a benchmark. You ride the bike in very unrealistic speed in the circuit, and of cos the bike will be so hot. Most of these mid ccs bike wouldn't be that hot once you are riding them in real world condition.

I'm a lady rider myself. It all depends how fast u get use to riding yr new ride.the type of ride depends on yr budget and yr needs. U like tourers, choppers, sportsbikes or motards. Once u decide then u can think of what u can do to get use to yr her.give yrself at least 3mths to decide if u wanna cut the seat or firm up the suspension.I can only suggest to u to lower the suspension or soften it when u just get yr ride...slowly adjust to yr ride.don't rush...lastly just make sure u enjoy yr ride n dont regret!

Don't tell me U miss me...causeIknowUdo!

I suggest Kawasaki ER6N, low seat height, its a perfect bike for beginner. Can use for street and touring(with side panniers). Its look stylish for a hotbabe. :) looks ok with top box and side panniers and fuel economy.

@babyain Actually, I guess the type of ride I try out is very varied - have not found something that I really can stick to yet. :sian: haha my fault I guess - see more bikes, end up more gian. What are you riding now? heh

@S750WP wahh. Looks really cool. Is it just me, but to me the street bikes looks very very similar. -.- I am also concerned about availability of parts / price. Plus, ah chong from P***** doesn't do much of the other brands (ok, weird factor but I really enjoy going to him)

@whyzee hehe. I own a small cc scooter already. Right now it is for zipping around etc. The GS1200 looks really cool but am not too sure when I tried my friend's ride - the legs were dangling - can't reach the ground at all. :faint:

@SparkerS1 haha fried balls.

A small scooter is very different from a maxi.... Just try it and u will know.

since u mentioned the BMW GS, why not consider the 650GS instead?

It's much lower seat height as compared with 1200GS. 820-825mm for 650GS.

Handlebar needa get used to it, IMO a bit high for me

For normal servicing, brake pads, oil filter, spark plugs etc no issue as this is common among other bikes. FYI I am using honda oil filter for my kawasaki Z750, for genuine parts can get from Kawa agent in JB.

But so far been riding my Z750 for almost a year, aside for the normal servicing, nothing breaks down so far, maybe kawa bikes are bullet proof hence the local agent not selling the spare parts as its non profitable.

Not sure about Ah Chong, you can visit Loois Motors, I saw many big bikes service there including Kawasaki bikes.

I second the kawa er 6 but get the faring model. Looks better and the 2012 model is more suitable as they narrowed the seat width.
