Risk Of Getting A Refurbished Iphone When Buying Brand New

Got a brand new iphone 4s turn out to be faulty.. Was told that to get a 1 to 1 exchanged refurbished back??!! How can it be not a brand new back? So is this consider apple selling refurbished iphone since its not replacing faulty product??

If your iPhone is faulty they will replace it with a refurbished set if it's under warranty.

if out of 1000000 sets manufactured, 3% are faulty, can't be ask them to scrap away rite?

I believe used phone and consider it as a second hand..

All phone sold are to be in a workable condition and should it be faulty it should be replaced...

 

If u bought a Tv went home found the hdmi not working do u exchange a new set or choose to get a refurbished set?

your definition of "new set" and "replaced" is very vague.

 

so long they re-furbish and replaced all faulty parts, clear out all previous data, it is as good as new.

 

manufacturers will evaluate and troubleshoot for faults flagged, re-furbish if it is OK to. if the product is not repairable, it will be scrapped.

 

a product with unbroken seal on the box is deem a new set, so which is which?

 

telco will not know which sets are refurbished as all are sent back to assembly house for troubleshoot/repairs.

Called apple to regards my faulty phone n this stupid senior advisor patrick told me its normal for two same model same spec to have diff internet connection strength..

So its normal for my phone to have a low internet speed..

 

Complaint this to the HQ and a replacement phone with a apple magic mice.. Nice...

 

So much for senior lvl 2 staff.. Which he claimed.. At least now I am happy..

 

Special thanks to apple senior cs Be** who assist on this and hope the so called lvl 2 staff be demoted as he dont fit that post.. Dont even know his own company product well..

If dun wan refurbish set. Repair ur new set. I belience apple phones most common problem is the home button becomes less senstitice. A repair cost abt 20 bux

For me... New phone is brand new... Refurbished phone is repaired and reset back to original plus timers and shite like tt...meaning speakers are used mainboard is used... And lower resale value bcoz there is a way to check if urs is a replaced unit...

...bro...Do u know that there is a special serial number for replacement sets? if not how do you think they can differentiate replacements from non replacements within 5sec of holding yr phone? I know this for a fact and not guesswork..

Ok, I checked with a person that claimed to have expertise in this industry: for Singapore, if the model number ends in "LL" instead of "ZA" it's (probably) a refurbished set.
