Times is moving along the 4T era.. So I suppose if you haven't have a pool of collectors namelist, I suggest you get yourself a 4T :)

i'll go with 4t, quieter and smoother.

 

but 2t bikes are really really fun. the way the engine screams and wants you to rev it tits off.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

While 2T make better racing engines as far as power for weight ratio goes. Its era has ended thanks to Honda, as far as motorcycling goes. You still have 2 strokes in snowmobiles and motorboats.

 

2T is more fun, the way the powerband kicks in is addictive...it could be downright dangerous too.

or will 2t be like a collectors' piece?holding its value better as it is harder to find on a nice bike?

 

To be a collectors bike, it has to have some sort of status beforehand. Your big CC 2 strokes are all collectors item, your 250s are if you can find good conditioned ones, your 2B ones, meh.

 

Seriously, if you have the money, keep that 2 stroke, if you don't, stick to a 4.

I would stick to 2t for now as in years to come, when you decided to get 2t brand new, it won't be possible. Now it's 4t era. Nomore 2t bikes in production
