I am ordering Honda Mainstands at $150 and original windshields from Japan direct. Will take 4 weeks to arrive. Placing my order today, so far ordering 1 for matkin and 1 for fitrina. Plus 1 original windshield for me... Anyone else wants?

yup... i know... today will be the cutoff date... if the $$ is too much, i will be collecting like a little bit from ppl... cos have to understand, I dont stay in private premises, have to use my $$ to pay before ppl can collect... ALL will be recorded on video and the receipt WILL be shown when the products arrive... today by 8pm is the cut-off...

Have got the price list from BS.

NCS with ABS $17,528

NCX w/o ABS $17,068

NCX with ABS $18,038

NCX DCT $19,308

 

Noted the prices are without GST and INSURANCE.

 

NCX DCT only on indent basis, waiting time 2-3months. Lady mentioned the stocks are in but majority booked by ASP and BS not sure if they have balance stock to sell direct.

Yup i was quoted NCX with ABS @ $18398 OTR with GST & Insurance. I'm 37.

it loses to s4 on top speed i guess... but bare in mind it uses only 2 spark plug, average 30km/l and the extra storage space and the cost of a new s4 is almost same as a NC... rd tax only 7x per 6mths... to me it a winner for economy and sg road condition

the nc700s lose its top speed to supe4.. top speed with box main stand and a 70KG piliion only managed to achieve full open throttle 175kmh without any vibration.. 160 can easily be achieved..

Rev up to around 6000+ rpm, no jerk or anything funny, just that the power diminish quite a lot when reaching redline. Still on mineral.

Suspect is can since if its going to affect warranty, they would have said so in the first place and not replied 'not advisable'.

Arrived in Melaka a couple of hours ago. Experience with the first tour with the NCX is good. Sweet spot around 130-140km/hr at 4000rpm. Occasionally hitting 150km/hr but wind turbulance is bad. Concluded a touring windshield is absolutely necessary.

 

Came along with a fazer6. Top up full after custom and top up again when arrive in Melaka. F6 sipped 11+litres whereas NC took in 8litres. F6 was shocked! Haha.

manual recommended 10w 30 where else theirs is nt the same at BS.

 

Of which 41 bucks is charge for each servicing i went.

I'm seriously thinking of going to my regular mechanic for 2nd servicing onwards. We're treated like carrot heads over there. I believe if there's nothing wrong with the bike for first 6 months, then it wouldn't have problem for at least the first year. My next oil should be 10w40 instead of 10w50. Feel that our weather is warm throughout the year thus no need for thinner oil.

Sorry bro, I didn't ask how much would the labour fee be if we were to bring our own oil. I don't believe if we use our own oil, they would void engine warranty. If it is, he would have told me straight away and not give a lame reason like 'not advisable'.

 

I suggest you call their servicing dept to ask and get a clear answer.

 

Already made a downpayment since july. now waiting.....

I went up to BS sales to ask for price and stock availability. She mentioned stocks are in already and direct me to ASP, saying they took most of their stock and BS may not even have 1 to sell. I strongly feel your NC is coming soon.

Oh yes, forget to mention BS is really lacking logistically. They don't even carry stock for clutch cable for our NC, imagine that! Wanted to carry one spare for touring also cannot.
