What bike are you riding? I work in Exxon and its confirmed the formula for bike and car EO are different. But I can't say if it makes any different haha. But generally car EO has higher detergent and TBN so in theory, can have extended OCI

 

I had used those oil bought from Giant on my old super4 VS for the past 7-8years...Seriously, I also can't tell any different. Haha! But since was old bike I don't really concern abt it lol.

Just changed to Total fully syn 10W50 at JB for RM$40 a bottle.

API SL and Jaso MA Engine oil colour is green . Quite smooth.

Try wait till 6000km and see how it feels? If feels good, maybe can extend another 1000? Haha busa has a lot of power though. I don't really believe in x1r, or any other additives haha so for me I won't bother.

Ok thanks man. Cux mine is a scooter so i have a wide choice of EO, in fact too much to choose from. LOL. Nw itchy butt change out the BMW oil (feels really vibey at higher rpms) and nw using mobil 1 15w50. Yet to test fully but seems a little sluggish wen nt yet warmed up.

Now after using it for abt 2k, feels slightly thinner and much more like usual 40wt bike oils. Nice!

ash content is metallic particles.

In gasoline oil, it is generally lower.

 

Sorry i assumed it is shell rimula r3x 15w40 which is mineral oil.

Brands that makes ester based magic oil:

1) Motul - French and one of the most pricest

2) Maxima - USA and one of the cheapest ester based with tonnes of ZDDP. API SG only though

3) Ipone - French and smells nice and mid level price range

4) Belray - USA and can be quite expensive, close to motul price range. Has both good and bad reviews

5) Redline - USA and one of the most affordable ester based stuff similar to Maxima, according to the site, has tonnes of ZDDP too but somehow API specs are higher

6) Xrev - I have no idea, is it local? think its quite new in the market, has a few good reviews but could just be gimmick, quite good pricest too.

7) Synergy - I have no idea also. Heard of them before but i think poor marketing

Consolidate with afew kakis and you can also get the oil filter(I use Purolator) at the same time in order to qualify.

 

I just bought afew x1gallon bottle from them, shipping is about 2weeks FOC(>USD$125).
