i have some outrageous parts for the SR max 300... they are fully compatible and manufactured for the engine. malossi multivar 2000! imrpoves pick up and provides a better top speed! might wanna take a look at my fb page! ;)

Does it increase fuel consumption? If yes, what is the average fuel consumption before and after malossi multivar 2000 installation?

Does it increase the life span or shorten the life span of the belt? If use malossi multivar must use with malossi belt? What is the advantages of using normal belt and malossi belt? How much longer service interval malossi belt can last as compared to original belt? Taken into account that every rider have different riding habits, let's take the "Average" riding as a gauge. Thanks and sorry for asking so much important question.

heya guys, any ideas where i can get a box rack for the bike? not keen on the sengkwang type but would really like the ones the runners have on them..

 

Hey there! You got a SR Max as well? I got my rack, shop did say its the same as runners from 219 Motorshop..

Hi appMaxers.

 

Been reading ur comments on the sideline. Despite the hiccups that's mentioned on the bike I was too attrattracted by its look. Just got it from Zai of Mah Moto at Seramggon Rd branch. Will be collecting this Monday. My ride details as follows:

 

Red/black

11.4k OTR

Freebie- Givi box & Givi raincoat

 

Was told the last stock they have currently. Hope to zip with it for werk. Been long since I've ride a bike.

I have installed the arrow full system, but in process of documentation wif LTA, awaiting for inspection. For more details n pricing can check with Biketech21. There are other options like Leo Vince, Akrapovic which u can check with their respective dealers to see if they are willing to bring it in for you.

Fuel consumption will vary... depending on how much you rev the bike. but what the multivar does is to increase the belt potential to slide higher giving you a better top speed and pick up with the torsion spring provided. the average fuel consumption is about the same as the stock variator... lifespan of the belt will not be affected by the multivar and it is not necessary for you to use the malossi kevlar x belt. the advantages of OEM piaggio belt is the lifespan but doesn't perform as good as the kevlar x belt malossi because of it's grip to the variator shaft. The stock belt will be stretched after sometime but the kevlar belt wont and still being able to provide you a maximum grip on the torque driver and variator.... service interval is at 12,000km for all belts and also depends on your riding style... some people even change at 9000km..... the average riding gauge should work fine with the multivar and wont cause a very big difference with regards to wear and tear issues. Hi,

 

Just to update on FC matters. My ride is used mainly to commute between home and werk from Tampines to Outram using peak-hr jammed expressways. Details of my consumption as follows:

 

First top up on collecting bike on 15 Oct - Shell 98; 15L at S$30.

Next top up on 1 Nov - Caltex 98; 13L S$29

Mileage covered between top ups is +/- 420 km

Average consumption as per reading - 42km/L:)

 

Damn!!! Why did I have to drive all these years to werk & wasted all that petrol money.:slapforehead:

This my FC, mine is probably 20% highway and 80% road.. I'll update again soon, cos I'm having reservist now. Which means alot more highway riding.

You sure 42km/L is correct? Better use calculator cos I don't think 278cc will have this FC

 

Sorry guys. Yatan may be right. The reading does not seems to tally. My iphone calculator says 32.30km/L instead of 42km/L. Cld it be I read the wrong meter reading. Hehehe.

 

But then again.... still better than driving. Only filled up after riding for 15 days. Especially enjoy riding during cool weather; natural breeze... wohoo!!!
