How much did you guys install your rack for? Are the stock tires any good?

I am pretty much very interested in this bike and I know my question is gonna sound weird but pardon me as I have 0 knowledge of the internals of CVT scooters but I would like know if the overall maintenance cost of PCX150 will be higher or lower as compared to a normal touring bike like....lets say.... Honda CBF150, Honda CB125ie and Yamaha FZ16. I have heard AT scooters gives A LOT of electrical problems but I do not know if they have improved in Honda PCX150 or have they retained the same technologies of the previous scooters.

My posts are based on peaceful discussion, honest questions happy jokes. If for any personal reason u find my post not suiting your ego, scrolling and clicking is always faster than typing. Not hearing my retorts to your rude remarks only means I have confirmed that your upbringing is that of barbarians.

Firstly, I don't own a bike (still doing my lessons) but the following is based on engineering logic.

Scooters giving a LOT of electrical problems - no basis for this conclusion. Scooters use the same amount of electricals as any other bike and are of the same design, so, cannot be worse. The AT system is mechanical.

For all bikes incl scooters etc, they are all basically the same. The ignition is electrical since time immemorial. These days the new thing is EFI and is only on new bikes. ABS is the next new thing on bikes but it has nothing to do with the engine, just like all the LCD and digital displays.

For all the extras like ABS, LCDs and other digital stuff, they don't work worse just because it's on a scooter. Of course Japanese electronics has always been very reliable, I recall the European cars of old, their electronics never worked decently. These days they are better, noticed I used better and not perfect. So if anything, the source of these devices are more likely the culprit for your conclusion.

Transmissions are mechanical, except for those fancy big tourers and bikes which uses electrical/electronic hydraulic controls.

As a comparison between CVT and gear transmissions, the CVT will require more maintenance due to wear of the belt. Clutches are much more durable. Gears are precision parts which if properly assembled and with regular oil changes will work fine for a very very long time.
